Tnx for reply. I want to add some languages (multilang) and make AIO (x86 & x64). What to do first? First aio (single arhitecture), Multilang than simplix then AIO (x86+x64)? Can I do it in that order?
For AIO have in mind that Pack can be used in all 5 (x86) or 4 (x64) images in install.wim at once. You could also try, first languages than AIO (x86 or x64 architecture) because IE11 that comes with Simplix Pack is with multilingual localization. Anyway, it would be nice if you can post some feedback here, after testing.
I tried on x86 AIO with multilanguages on only 1 index (Starter) with previous simplix instaled (3 or 4 month old) and went well only 107 upgrades. Tested on Vmware, seems OK now have totaly 222 upgr.&fixes.
i do the same job every month ... it's work like a charm on both arch x86&x64 after that i do the AIO i made Disc with all Edition + ent+N but its take time to do all that
Simplix pack Office 2010 new program. New updates office 2010 updates folder integration??? Very good...
Thanks just did a test and after installing windows all i had offered through windows update was KB2533552 & KB971033 and browser choice, definition update and net framework 4.5.1..... Thanks for your hard work
maybe I'm just too out of it(getting old oh no in my 40's), but how could I use this to update a windows 7 pro 64 bit and windows 7 HP 64 bit oem dvd's I mean befoe you updated the iso images and slip streamed the stuff, but now it's talking about install.WIM . Can anyone point me to a detailed tutorial on how to take those two dvd's convert them into wim (maybe rip as iso first I dunno) then apply this update and convert it back to a format that I can burn to a dvd so I can install the darn thing while saving a lot of time, since the updates can take over two hours even this way with a machine that has a hard drive. I want to be able to just plain install with all the updates already in there no muss no fuss. Lil help to someone that is so out of it. terramir
The WIM is install.wim in the \sources\ folder of the ISO. Copy it to another folder, the Installer needs write access. As i don't like putting stuff to my C: drive, i assume the WIM copied to maybe D:\win8. Adapted part of the OP: To integrate only the updates to existing products, without change of IE: Open Admin CMD and navigate to the UpdatePack7Live.exe location and: Code: UpdatePack7Live.exe /WimFile=D:\win8\install.wim /Index=1 Question would be what ISO you're using and what Edition you want to update in the WIM. Win 7 x86 5 indices STARTER/HOMEBASIC/HOMEPREMIUM/PROFESSIONAL/ULTIMATE in that order. Win 7 x64 4 indices as it's missing STARTER.
@gamazet Once again amazing job mate. Just one suggestion, it would be a good thing to publish SHA-1 (not any other hash) here in your thread and Simplix's thread at forum.oszone.net for security and integrity reasons. See, this sort of solutions could be a target for malicious guys.
