In my current tests i use the older wlan and lan packs from driverpacks.net but you can put in your own drivers.
Yeah, driverpacks.net collection is really outdated. Maybe driver files can be used from the SDIO package but i suppose integrating tons of drivers in install.wim where most of the drivers aren't needed, doesn't seem to be a good/clean way of making custom iso's. In this regard, simplix way of integrating (USB 3.x) drivers in install.wim seems better where it install only needed drivers. may be similar type of driver integration can be done through $OEM$ route with auto run of SDIO network package. but user can do it later anyway so its not that imp.
Personally i only integrate (W)Lan and USB3.x (by Simplix into install.wim and the other wims by the script).
Few weeks ago, i'd to install Win 7 on an old pentium M (710 ?) with 1.5 GB ram laptop. I used a simplixed win 7 sp1 iso (jan) with direct x and .net 4.7.2 addon integrated with default boot.wim. It failed in the stage where it says, copying files, installing updates etc.... Tested 3 times with different usb's, it never worked. (same iso works fine in other system) Later i used original 7 sp1 iso and it installed okay. (didn't have time to use simplix in online mode) I suspect some updates aren't compatible with older hardware, that's why it was failing. Anyone have any idea? @abbodi1406 @simplix P.S. I know that old systems won't boot if 8.1 or 10 boot.wim in 7 is used. I'm not looking for how to get it work, just for the info.
just run updatepack7r2 on this live system, if processor not support sse2 you got message about it, that's the reason
Ah, one of those pages that at first seems to offer an exe download but for me, a small sub-pane then opens that has the correct link - I really need to do all this in a sandbox
Using ublock origins browser addon should be enough but i will move the zip to mega, so all should work safely. Fixed!!! https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-win7-distribution.45005/page-55#post-1342451
They're called Cumulative Updates, released monthly [1-2 times] and Windows 10 comes with a utility (DISM) to integrate them. For example, just today, I integrated 6 files and my Windows 10 image is updated. MDL hosts a 3rd party utility that provides a nice interface for DISM. (Win10UI).
