Simplix Pack to update Live Win7 System/ Integrate hotfixes into Win7 distribution

    My last post was a reply to your comment that "the offered updates are old updates" as an update from last week is not old. I could have just installed the update and not bother asking. I though I should ask, but now I realize that I shouldn't.

    The log shows that you have not installed the addon dotNetFx48.

    The speed of work depends only on your computer.

    Software Restriction Policies.

    I performed a clean installation using an ISO containing dotNetFx48 addon and UpdatePack 20.6.20. These were integrated using the tool for SiMPLiX UpdatePack AiO ISO creation. I then ran UpdatePack 20.7.15. Shouldn't it be installed?

    I have to come back to my previous post..

    Redone the install once again...After installing the WMF5.1 Update (Powershell) -- Win7AndW2K8R2-KB3191566-x64 //KB2809215

    It seems that 2020-07 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4565524) comes back after a reboot. WUMT also showing the update once again. If someone can confirm this, that would be great btw, thx!

    It is installed, also after updating WMF to 5.1 >>

The operation completed successfully.
    Also for the WU ESU Patcher...SiMPLiX's pack includes his own way of patching? As i previously installed WU ESU Patcher (3) and the .NET ESU Patcher (7) after setup.

    Without option 3, WU also works and shows 1 update == 2020-07 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7

    Installed only the .NET ESU Patchert his time and all working fine :)

    I've tried smartfix but no corrupted files were found. I've stopped the MS antivirus but when I launch simplix it reports the same error: "Failed to start DIsm, pleas check SRP". I can't comprehend the nature of the problem. Have you any idea about it? It is the first time I experience an issue with simplix

    May I suggest you to uninstall MS antivirus, and run DISM with administrative privileges, and note that DISM in some cases (for Simplix) runs better in windows 10 scenarios to update an ISO, the readme of simplix tool is quite objective and works nice... I also suggest you as AV the Broadcom Symantec Endpoint Protection with the "Embedded Installation" option, who is much lightweight compared with the standard Installation. (and you can really disable SEP fully with smc -stop command) If you encounter some issue on stuck percentage after the DISM step and your PC stucks, Just press reset button on your device, press F8 and select "Last Known good configuration", then your Windows is back... and you can execute "cleanmgr.exe /VERYLOWDISK" and after -> Open Regedit -> Go to HKLM\Components -> Delete or rename REG_DWORD "pendingrequired=1" and after that, go to "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS" and delete all *.cab files, run "sfc /scannow" with administrative privileges, will take some minutes... when finished, restart your PC and restart the simplix tool.

    Just to let you guys know, I've integrated simplix on an original portuguese (portugal) msdn iso and these are the "missing updates" on a win7 x64 pro install

    KB970133 Windows Activation Verification Technologies (not needed, unwanted)
    KB4524752 Windows 7 Pro End of Support Notice (annoyance, unwanted)
    KB3021917 System diagnostics and telemetry for upgrading to Windows 10 (win10 telemetry crap, unwanted)
    KB3068708 Update to improve the quality and diagnostics of telemetry (telemetry crap, unwanted)
    KB3080149 Update for CEIP and telemetry diagnostics (telemetry crap, unwanted)
    KB3150513 Updated configurations for compatibility diagnostics (win10 telemetry crap, unwanted)
    KB3172605 Update adds telemetry points to consent.exe (telemetry crap, unwanted)

    Do not install these updates. Hide them!

    SFC comes clean, setuperr is empty, usb3.0 works out of the box and everything seems to work flawlessly.
    CBS.log has many [HRESULT = 0x800f0805 - CBS_E_INVALID_PACKAGE] just like someone said here but I don't see any issue.
    The only problem that I had was when I apply updates to boot.wim: the installer fails to find install.wim somehow. So I recommend to avoid messing with boot.wim and use win10 install media with win7 install.wim if you need support for newer hardware.
