Hell Mr.X, I always use ONLY original install.wim from ORIGINAL Windows 7 SP1 media when recreating install.wim using Simplix Update pack
Hello again, I have repeated the whole procedure again (even redownloaded July Update pack), but I get the same exact error which I have posted initially earlier today To summarize briefly I have used: 1. original install.wim from original Windows 7 64bit SP1 DVD (X17-59465.iso) 2. UpdatePack7R2-14.7.15.exe , size:519 MB (544,582,976 bytes) Procedure was performed on xp, 32 bit system (with 2 disks c: and g: ) after download was completed, UpdatePack7R2-14.7.15.exe was renamed to:UpdatePack7R2.exe and moved to c:\ install.wim was also placed in c:\ Then I used this command: UpdatePack7R2.exe /Temp=G:\Mount /NoSpace /WimFile=C:\install.wim /Index=4 all was doing well this is the last update which is ok: KB2966583 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed and then again this eight/8 updates, which to me seem not to be ok: KB2971850 - The return code is 87 KB2972280 - The return code is 87 KB2973201 - The return code is 87 KB2973337 - The return code is 87 KB2973351 - The return code is 87 WindowsUpdate-ActiveX - The return code is 87 WindowsUpdate-Aux - The return code is 87 WindowsUpdate-Core - The return code is 87 Now the last lines from log are: The number of installed updates - 157 Total installation time of UpdatePack - 01:29:42 Operation of the program has been successfully finished and this to me does not seem ok if earlier it was written eight/8 times: The return code is 87 so I am out of ideas finaly I want to confirm that I had no problem when doing June Update perhaps someone can have some more ideas - thanks Regards, sedmi
If you are the same person "DenisDDD" on OSZone than there are few replies to check. Or just wait maybe there will be answer there.
Check if the Image used is untouched or on live system check if system services are in regular default state
No I am not "DenisDDD" on OSZone - I am sedmi ! Now there are news: The author of UpdatePack7R2 has posted this info: (translated with google translate) The Integration of Updates in WinXP after the new updates from July 2014, namely KB2966583, the program ceases to perceive Dism command, hence all other updates will not be installed. Solution - do not use WinXP (Dism not officially suported) So today I have performed the Integration of July 2014 Updates on computer with Windows 7, 64 bit and all is 100% o.k. This confirms what the author of UpdatePack7R2 has posted regarding using The Integration of Updates in WinXP Regards, sedmi
Yeah I saw that. Problem is particular update KB2966583 in Win XP DISM. Usually everything is OK with dism for XP posted on main topic post under "Notes". So from now on it would not be recommended to use Windows XP for integrating Pack. OK sedmi all the best!
I use home premium. I tried also to integrate ONLY that update with wintoolkit after using Simplix Pack and it was integrated.
KB2965788 is a bi-update meaning it's applicable to Ultimate/Enterprise editions, or require RDP 8.0 (KB2592687) installed it can be integrated to other editions, but it will not be active it gets offered in WU if KB2592687 is installed
Now it makes sense!!!! It seems simplix integrates KB2592687 in HomePremium but not the KB2965788 update.
