There is some misconception here that often causes confusion. The IE11 browser and the underlying Trident web engine must not be confused. The IE11 browser can be neglected or just removed, but the web engine is deeply baked into the OS (back from the Win95 IE4 "Active Desktop" update until recent Windows 11 versions). It is used in a lot of places to draw UI elements, Desktop backgrounds, and Explorer windows. So, even without the IE11 browser being used at all, updating the web engine is still necessary as it's being used all the time by the OS.
@Enthousiast - Did you maybe miss my post (and the following one from @abbodi1406) in December about the KB3161102? It is not integrated by the pack into the low SKUs because it is not applicable. But it is now missing in the high SKUs as well, as your tool creates them from the low ones. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...win7-distribution.45005/page-250#post-1865047 I'm also tagging @simplix here, maybe the problem can be solved in the pack itself, by always force-staging the mentioned KB in all SKUs. So, it will be automatically there when you switch to a higher SKU where it applies.
