There is some misconception here that often causes confusion.

The IE11 browser and the underlying Trident web engine must not be confused. The IE11 browser can be neglected or just removed, but the web engine is deeply baked into the OS (back from the Win95 IE4 "Active Desktop" update until recent Windows 11 versions). It is used in a lot of places to draw UI elements, Desktop backgrounds, and Explorer windows. So, even without the IE11 browser being used at all, updating the web engine is still necessary as it's being used all the time by the OS.

@Enthousiast - Did you maybe miss my post (and the following one from @abbodi1406) in December about the KB3161102? It is not integrated by the pack into the low SKUs because it is not applicable. But it is now missing in the high SKUs as well, as your tool creates them from the low ones.

I'm also tagging @simplix here, maybe the problem can be solved in the pack itself, by always force-staging the mentioned KB in all SKUs. So, it will be automatically there when you switch to a higher SKU where it applies.

Yeah, maybe it's just my autistic @ss being pedantic, but just any answer would be nice. Ignoring me twice and not even one reply comes over pretty rude.

Hi guys. Sorry if this is a dumb question that may have already been answered. I want to run the Simplix updater under a live Windows 7 installation, but I don't want to slow down the computer with the Spectre/Meltdown patch. Is the fix disabled by default? Cheers.

On windows 7 and similar CLIENT operating systems it's disabled by default.
On Server 2008 R2 it's enabled by default.

Your last reply in this thread was july 2023, what is your post about?

March 13. and April 11. new eyeball injection treatment to get rid of the fluids inside the eye and next an examination if new vessels are generating, but the first injection from February 14. didn't improve my eyesight yet.

If you do not want to write about, I understand...

Your "vessel" hint points to a Glaukoma? What are they injecting you?
The other eye is less or not affected?
