Guess January 2026 marks the last time I'll ever make new ISOs with SimpliX if MS truly pulls the plug on NT6.x support.
he tested both gen2 iso and an UNTOUCHED win 7 sp1 iso and he concluded that the problem is from simplix. but unfortunate it gonna be fixed ( we know the reason) .....
I have that loop, too, with a normal install, and only one (only reason I can't use SiMPLiX casually). The cause is usually inconsistencies in the SxS Component Store. Doesn't really make sense to start resolving this now... Unfortunately, @simplix doesn't frequent here, anymore. Would be probably easier to resolve this here, apart from the other issues I have (KB3161102 staging, and why SmartFix does not work for Windows 7 E).
Hello, I have integrated Simplix 25.12.10 from December into an Embedded SP1, and when I install the system, this list of updates appears.
Which are all either superseded or are just there because windows update isn't happy with what you have installed. Either way, just stick with what is integrated by the updatepack.
Happy Christmas to all the Windows 7 Lovers out there. As it seems , it would be the last season as 7 will be supported. However, i want to share my wishes to everyone here , even as i don't know you personally our love for Windows 7 connect us <3
Yes windows 7 updates may be done, but why install these updates anyway outside of the needed updates like kb4474419 and 2670838. And maybe visual c++ and .net framework 4.8
The pack contains the latest updates, for iso creating or live installing, and it integrates/installs the vc++ and ndp481 WA files when put next to it.
@simplix seems to take his time for the final pack, will check again when i wake up in the morning I have to go try to sleep, the electrician is coming tomorrow (finally) to finish my 10Gbit lan to upstairs, among other stuff
And just like that, we finally bid Windows 7 (and Vista also) adieu. I really hope a Simplix pack for 8.1 becomes a thing, as that's the logical continuation point.
