I strongly suspect that Upd7live.exe is no longer needed after simplix has completely finished installing the updates. (Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.) So why not disable and/or uninstall your AV software until the job is done, then delete that file?
Hello, dunno if this is the correct topic, i apologize in case, i need a fix or a patch for some dll (see the description and the image attached) missing in win 7, they are in windows 10 or above (since my studio pc have this os installed), and if i try to simply copy or download the missing dll into system32 in win 7 directory i still get errors, so is something that need to be patched to enable such librariers. "This program can't start because ‘Api-ms-win-core-com-l1-1-0.dll' is missing from your computer!" A lot of games and tools still use directx9 and 11 that are compatible with windows 7 but the installer is often compiled with these missing libraries that do not support windows 7 anymore. Thank if someone can help me or point me a link for a patch to solve this issue. ps: Of course i have installed the last c++ redist package but these files still missing so is not a c++ issue.
Will do. Thanks for the advice. Could well be. I just wondered, because it has never happened before.
Either VBox has incomplete/b0rked SMP support, or MS f*dged something up. I just set the Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 VMs to Legacy and didn't see any issues since.
Is normal after intergration of Simplix pack, the KB hotfixes of NVME & USB3 not showing on installed updates?
Those are only present in boot.wim and winre.wim. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...win7-distribution.45005/page-261#post-1895640
Is there a fully updated x86 win 7 like this that will work on modern hardware? I keep getting 0x07b bsod even with all ahci and nvme drivers and using mergeide through winntsetup. Motherboard is x870e apex. Thanks for any help
There is no ready-made Windows 7 ISO at all that would be allowed to be posted here (No-Homebrew rule). Windows 7 x86 can only be brought up to 2024-10 update-wise. And, if none of the projects in this forum dealing with modern hardware is working, you might be out of luck. There are boards that lack the ability to run Windows 7 natively, and x870e sounds very new.
Thanks for the reply!! x870e is current gen hardware so yes it's as new as it gets and I'm using a 9950x3d CPU. That said I'm multi-booting Windows 98SE, Windows XP and Windows 7x64 off this board all on the same NVME (in addition to modern OS's). I'm not exaggerating saying the actual only OS from the last 30 years that I haven't got booting yet is Windows 7x86. It's crazy to me this has been the OS to be so difficult lol 0x07b is usually boot drive/storage related but the same sata/ahci/nvme controllers that are in x570 are in x870e. I can get everything booting in x570 without it throwing the bsod. I didn't see any modern compatibility projects on here focusing on x86. Can you link some? I'd love to read up on them. Seems the Windows 7 community isn't really interested in keeping x86 alive in contrast to the XP community where no one cared about x64 until the past year or so.
