It should increase only with newly issued updates. Older already integrated updates would be skipped. PS I would rather use clean ISO by integrating updates from scratch, because each month there are reports of updates that are superseded.
UpdatePack7R2.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file I am getting this error
What happens if I integrate this update with last months update? Does it only update/add the new fixes or does it re-install all the fixes again? Thanks
Batch is working fine. That error shows that specified image in the specified wim is already mounted, so batch cannot mount it again. If unmount command doesn't work, try this command: DISM /cleanup-wim, than restart windows, and use again DISM /cleanup-wim to see if it still mounted.
It adds only new updates. But because of superseded updates and other reasons it is recommended to use untouched ISO
how much time does the whole process take in integrating updates to install.wim file can anybody tell me bcoz mine is taking so much time
You're not alone mate, for sure... Here the same thing, it's normal. However, rest assured the integration process is done in a perfect way.
this whole process takes upto 2 hours is there any easy way which will add updates in minutes with deployment tools
when you use one index too? im running this simple command line to index all updates to ultimate installation, maybe is useful for somebody. UpdatePack7R2-14.8.20.exe /ie11 /WimFile=D:\X17-59465\sources\install.wim /Index=4
Yes. Even with one index to service it might take 2 or more hours depending on your system horsepower.
Ok, I'm going to sound like a spoiled brat, but where can I find already updated/integrated ISO's? I know that modified ISOs are a tabu and prohibited, and they should be, but we all on our own integrate simplix, so why can one (trusted) person do that, and share, instead we all doing it on our own. There are not so many windows versions, so they all could be covered. Think of how much time and power we would all save.
Murphy87 is already making updated Windows ISO's with useful extras on regular basis. Search him here on MDL. I tried his 7 (and 8.1) and they were excellent.
