Hi Gamazet! After using UpdatePack7R2-14.10.20.exe to slipstream updates into en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_676939.iso, Windows Update still offers KB2993651 (from August 27, 2014). Is this a bug with the Simplix Pack or is this hotfix impossible to integrate?
It was also some problematic update, like so many during the last months. Why it is offered? I should check and turn back with answer I hope.
Zamiell abbodi1406 Simplix says that KB2993651 is problematic update that leads to errors in the system for some users, so he decided not to include it.
Hi, maybe i have a stupid question. What integration parameter i need for a windows 7 sp1 x64 iso where i removed the ei.cfg configuration file (see all versions on installation)? Thank in advance!
I have read it. Maybe my question was false. Is it enough when i update the ultimate index (Index=4 on 64bit) or need to update all indexes (Index=*) for the iso where i removed the ei.cfg configuration file (see all versions on installation)? What is the advantage between Index=4 (Ultimate) and Index=* (All Versions) Is the finished iso biger with Index=* ? Thanks
It means you will update all the versions available in the wim file, then all index. Of course the iso will grow up if you update all index.
For AIO (all versions) must use Index=*. Only for Windows 7 Ultimate x64bit use Index=4 (it means other versions remain untouched - not updated - if not using them, that's OK)
I still would like to know why the pack installs an end-of-life update (MSXML4SP3 parser) I have to remove every time afterwards?
Is anyone having issues when applying this to an AIO build i.e x86 or x64 that is Multi-Language? On x86 I always get an offline language error during setup when installing on either edition on the added language(s) were as the en-US stays fine. But the weird part is that x64 builds have no issues whatsoever... So maybe some update(s) are breaking it?
