The component in question is end-of-life (refer to MS Lifecycle), it won't get any updates in the future. I do use Secunia PSI and XML4SP3 raises the red flag.

Hello Gamazet and all, Hope this finds you well. After integrading UpdatePack7R2-14.11.17.exe into Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 MSDN and installing Windows on a real system, I see Microsoft Update still showing KB2603229 and KB2798162 in addition to KB2993651 and KB2533552 which I believe we talked about earlier in its updates list. Also I even see a "Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64-based Systems (KB976932)" update? Thanks so much for your kind works.
KB2533552 and KB2603229 can't be integrated, they are exclusive to live system the SP1 entry reflects KB2533552 also, once installed it will go away +
I am so sorry, but I think I successfully integrated KB2603229. MU does not show it anymore and seams it worked. Agree about KB2533552, I knew that. Thanks so much anyway. Edit: OK. Yes. After reviewing the related article I see this paragraph about KB2603229: "Do not slipstream this update into preconfigured operating system images. You must run this update only after the operating system is installed and the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) is finished." OK!
Is there a reason why IE11 isn't just installed by-default with the update pack? Say I don't use IE at all; would updating it to IE11 and then removing it cause any issues? From my limited understanding, certain programs uses core IE files, and such files can be updated when you update IE. I usually keep IE installed on my Windows installs, and then remove it after all updates are done.
I'm not sure I understand this "by default". You mean, to install IE11 and than to uninstall it? There is option to install or not (with or without /ie11). If you don't install/integrate it, Pack will install earlier verison of IE. Or if you don't choose /ie11 it will install only prerequisites without ie11.
If I run the update pack as-is without any switches, IE11 isn't installed. I was just curious as to why IE11 needed a switch to be installed, instead of just being installed automatically (like maybe issues or something)? Or maybe a better question might be, why would someone not want to install IE11?
This is quite brilliant, first I have seen this pack. Good to see it has long history to it and still maintained/updated. I am also quite surprised by the relatively small size. I would have expected it much larger. I am used to using AutoPatcher over the years. But I will definitely give this a try next Win7 system I install.
error 0x80070002 I've used Simplix Pack succesfully several times to update W7Ultimate x64 (incremental). After applying UpdatePack 14.11.17 I'm getting error 0x80070002 when installing the new image at 89% of unpacking files I downloaded an ran the update a second time with same result. I can't figure out what's going wrong and how to resolve it. Please help
Sorry, I thought you have problems on Live system not with integration. Usually DISM/WAIK sometimes is making troubles, or when previous Wim is not unmounted well. I have no better idea, Pack is working well it is tested, so personally would try to re-install WAIK and check system for some errors or junk leftovers. Also try with those commands from the main post, not with script, Windows is behaving strangely sometimes.
Hmmm, it's not actually an update, just exe file: FixBrokenUpdate.exe after digging into it (using hex), it's designated to remove botched update KB3004394
