If I'm not mistaken this part is now missing from the first post? Download it, unpack it and than follow these steps. 1. Unpack "UP7Integrator.zip" 2. Download and rename Simplix Pack exactly to "UpdatePack7R2-XX.XX.XX.exe" (without quotes) and place it in folder "UpdatePack7R2" (".\UP7Integrator\UpdatePack7R2"). 3. Place the distribution of Windows 7 SP1 (file * .iso) in folder named "ISO". 4. Run " UP7R2Integrator.cmd " as administrator to start extracting files from the ISO. 5. Will display a list of images/OS index in "the install.wim", will need to specify the index number (1 to 5) of the OS edition, in which we want to integrate updates, or specify "*" (asterisk, without the quotes), for integration the updates in specific edition. 6. It will start subsequent integration of updates. 7. Finally, it will propose to create a bootable ISO image. If you agree then the ISO will be found next to the "UP7R2Integrator.cmd" file.
are you integrating the "Monthly Quality Rollup" ? essentially this Slipstream will be the monthly rollups from no on? Thank you for all the great work.!
Changes in version 16.10.16: Added integration of USB 3.0 and 3.1 drivers through the Win7USB3 project. This is valid for live systems only, or for integration only, or for both? As i know for proper installation on usb3 only systems, we must add usb3 drivers in install.wim and boot.wim.
I bet its for offlinesystem as it says "integration" Normally Windows setup has issues with installing from USB3-ports due to lack of drivers.
It's for applying on a mounted win image (offline) and only for install.wim, not for boot.wim, it doesn't really integrate the drivers, during windows installation it installs the correct usb3 drivers. ps, the current version of the simplix updatepack is 16.11.11
Thanks tcntad and Enthousiast for the quick reply. For me the usb3 drivers in the Simpix pack is a problem, because i prefer to manualy intergrate my own usb3 and raid drivers inside boot.wim and install.wim. Is there a way to remove the Simplix usb3 drivers after the "intergration"?
No, USB3.X support is included now by default. I still install using dism but no longer need to include my usb3 folder of drivers. Having said that, they aren't integrated into winre.wim...
When offline integrating using the batch files the USB3.x driver install option is automaticly integrated? I don't see that mentioned when i translate the original forum. Code: Key / NoUSB cancels integration drivers USB 3.0 and 3.1 in the distribution system through the project Win7USB3 I nowhere see if the USB3 integrator now is included in the simplix pack. It can't be integrated in the winpe images because the integrator doesn't integrate the drivers, it installs the drivers during oobe/setupcomplete. It doesn't integrate the usb3.x driverfiles directly (i believe i somewhere read it in a reply by simplix himself here on MDL).
You beat me too it! Was just about to post the same info. I think it was just introduced into the Nov update pack...
About the integrated USB 3.0 driver, do I need it if I install the Intel USB 3.0 driver (I can't link the drive here, need to have 20+ posts) already? I always need to install it for my motherboard anyway.
Hello, Thank your for your program, it's really helpful, my question is regarding "Long Scan With Windows Update in Windows 7 SP1" since I'm using the Offical ISO that has outdated Windows Update component, which is the cause of the issue, does Simplix include hotfix for this issue? Also what will happen to the size of install.wim when using your batches to update all indexes (* key). Will it get 5x times larger since install.wim has 5 index options, or the size will stay close to the one with 1 index option? Thank you, dNz
I gave it try last night with @gamazet's batches, i choose to integrate updates in all indexes and the process went in this order: mounts image> checks for updates> integrate updates> saves image> unmounts image and repeats for all 5 indexes, but i takes too long to complete, i assume it would take at least 10+ hours for all indexes to complete (On my PC configuration), so i choose to exit on second mounting. Can you suggest any easy to use tool to integrate those needed hotfixes into win 7 installation ? Thank you, dNZ
