Did you download the correct architecture of the kb (x86 or x64). Just run simplix update pack, and the solution kb or abbodi1406's fix. There never will be a SP2 for 7
yes files were correct .. windows installer was culprit i used the script from krelay.de And it worked.. finally
There shouldn't be any need to use whatever script, simplix does the basics and the fix (either abbodi1406's own fix or the official msft fix) should just work. If you have to do all sorts of normally not needed workarounds there is something wrong with your windows install. When one of my manymanymany windows installs has a corrupted windows installer i would first want to fix it instead of working around it. Running a sfc /scannow to begin with.
Great tool, thank you very much for making it. I am using it on top of my custom enterprise iso with about 311 updates, no telemetry whatsoever. I created an install.wim without any trouble but i would like to remove a few kb updates that Simplex installs. These ones, 2882822Update adds ITraceRelogger interface support to Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1, Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 [VERIFIED] 3042058Microsoft security advisory: Update to default cipher suite priority order: May 12, 2015 [Suspected winlogin spying behavior] 3086255september 8, 2015, security update for the graphics component in windows (breaks safedisc)\ 3138612Windows Update Client for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: March 2016 [Contains KB2990214 Windows 10 upgrade ] [VERIFIED] 3184143Remove software related to the Windows 10 free upgrade offer [UNNEEDED] After simplex i mounted my .wim file using dism and ran /get-packages command to see and output all packages inside wim I found 4 out of 5 packages and uninstalled them. I can't seem to find 3042058. Simplex log says it was installed but dism doesn't show it on installed packages. Can anyone help me with this?
According to Simplix 16 Oct 16 changelog: Added integration updates when you first log on: KB2533552-x86-x64, KB2603229-x64, KB3177467-x86-x64, KB3042058-x86-x64 Not sure how he implements this. One way is from setupcomplete.cmd/HKLM RunOnce/HKCU RunOnce update call with an $oem$ folder structure, in addition to the updated WIM file. Also not sure how is he removing/disabling 3075249 + 3968708/3080149 in included DecRU (3207752). Could you confirm sources\$oem$\ presence and contents in generated ISO file or at Windows\Setup\Scripts in WIM file? Also note 3184143 looks "unneeded", but in addition to its nominal purpose it includes updates for other components (supersedes 2870256-v3, 3080446 which you should re-add). Same for 2882822 and 3042058. You should check abbodi's W7 updates changelogs and follow the superseding chain for them. IMHO: Simplix has been cherry-picking the included updates, so if he included those it's because there were no evidence enough against them. Your choice. Still wondering why Simplix is including 3207752 and but not 3172605.
KB3172605 is one of the telemetry-related updates, no? KB3172605 -x86-x64 (Update adds a point telemetry consent.exe file) < From the list found on page 1 of this thread
That's correct. It's because it contains 3075249 components (in the same list), so does the included DecRU 3207752, hence my note. I didn't remember the Intel bluetooth incompatibility, though. It stays for certain old? Intel hardware implementations even after the second release of 3172605 and the Intel software fix. According to Intel those models still having problems cannot be fixed because they reached their End of Life and End of Interactive Support (discontinued): h t t p s://communities.intel.com/message/421058#421058 In that forum an early post (after initial 3161608 problematic release and before 3172605 an Intel fixes) by user GattoNero (h t t p s://communities.intel.com/message/408202#408202) suggests uninstalling related Intel software and just using barebones bluetooth drivers from MUC, installed via Device Manager as a working way for 3161608 (3172605?) to coexist with them. This workaround was even "supported" by Intel (h t t p s://communities.intel.com/message/410291#410291). Cannot personally test this.
This project is great!!!! I integrate the latest update 20-12-16 in the win7.iso I also saw that the USB ports 3.0 work perfectly and now updates are found quickly in windowsupdate what about yetmagnificent THANKS Simplix
i 2nd that... thanks for this project.. just bought win 7 ultimate license, easy to upgrade with this.. edit: on your (?) web-page you link to heidoc.net where they give links to amazon uk for "cheap" windows 7 licenses (expensive) you can get cheaper windows 7 "refurbished" oem version licenses from amazon de (germany) .. will install on any machine. (only on one machine, can be re-installed on the same machine.. you have to download the iso image installation dvd yourself tho... any language will do.. applies also to the pro versions you can buy there..) i bought windows 7 ultimate license for 16 euros only.
Ive only used this once to integrate an A.I.O back in July 2015, i decided to make my own win7 2017 with the new pack december pack. I have only tested Home Premium x86 and x64 so far, and the switch to Install on a live machine (and) integrate for a wim.. IE 11 seams to fail. After running the pack with the switch on a live install its still only IE8, like wise after installing from an updated wim, still IE8. Any ideas?. I'm doing everything right as far as i can see and my 2015 build was flawless.
IE-Hyphenation-en and IE-Spelling-en (installed on the live os, but after 3 goes IE 11 wont go in) , could it just be a home premium bug?, i guess ile have to test a different OS. My x86 was a genuine en-gb dvd and my x64 was a direct ms linked en-us (but both tests were home premium) I'm using the same laptop to do it, but the last time i did this i used UpdatePack7R2 15.6.20 (which did all my wims) really odd as it doesn't mention IE11 at all during the integrate or live update but the spelling and the Hyphenation show in the installed list. will try the pro (but it takes a while on my rig) Note ive done no other tweaks as of yet, just pulled the wim, integrated the pack put the wim bk in.
