I installed virtual pc package + winusb3.0 driver package on to install.wim. They are very small packages and not anything else added. Same packages were also added to Ultimate index have not had any problem. Hash values ok with mine. I left my laptop open all night for to add simplix package. I turned off power options sleep.

Though the pack can be used on a previously simplixed wim, it's always better to start with a clean wim (i also have WAT update and (w)lan + nvme drivers pre-integrated in my base wims, but not previously used simplix on it).

    Thanks Enthousiast
So I will make a brand new slipstream again from a clean sp1 wim.

Last thing, why the log says:
The number of installed updates - 4
Operation of the program has been successfully finished
even if 1 update is not "successfully completed" ??

That's probably because simplix reports all attempts to integrate the kb's and doesn't check if they are installed correctly or gave an error:

    Code:
    The installation log of UpdatePack 7 / 2008 R2 / 17.1.15
    Installation start time - 7:16:45 10.02.2017
    Operating system - Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x86

Latest pack works perfectly. I used it on my OEM copy of Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 x64 and tossed it on a spare Dell Latitude E7450 that was getting no use. No issues whatsoever. I deployed Winmagic SecureDoc endpoint protectio from my server, and and all hardware security works well. Playing around with Windows 7 is fun because of how much control the end-user has over every piece of their device.

Thanks to the help of several members in the forum and especially in this thread, I have managed to integrate the updates into a Win 7 SP1 Ultimate ISO. However, I have run into a hiccup.
The ISO's size has become too big for a FAT32 drive. I have seen many users on google claim that formatting the USB on FAT32 is much better than booting with an NTFS drive and some even claimed you cannot boot Win7 on an NTFS USB disk.

    What do you experts think?
If it isn't possible to use NTFS to boot the new ISO, what are my other options?

When I tested my Bootable USB disk today, I was offered a choice between a clean install or upgrading my OS and keeping my files. What do you guys think of the Upgrade option? Would it apply the new updates from Dism? Does it work without fail or am I better off with a clean install?

That Upgrade option at boot just boots your existing windows (or tells you to) so you can start the setup manually from the running windows.

Upgrade replaces your windows system files ( including updates) and transfers your files, programs and settings. It is also called a Repair install.

It takes longer, but you have your programs, etc. included.

    Yes.

Why do an in place upgrade only to get your current windows uptodate? You simply can run simplix pack on the running system to update it.

Thank you for helping with my situation. It is quite a long story and I‘m sorry to bother you with it, but you asked for it :D
I bought this computer at the end of 2015 and the OS crashes whenever I try to fully update windows while the OS is on, either via Windows Live Update or Simplex,.

There is a certain update that causes this and I could not tell which because Windows Live Update installs around 60-90 updates per a single boot. All I could tell you is it didn’t happen with the first update boot, so it was probably between the first 90-200 updates. When I say the OS crashes, I mean I cannot get past the initial boot screen.
I thought about isolating each and every one of those updates to discover which one was the culprit, but reinstalling Windows and all the drivers and programs several times a day is pretty exhausting especially with low internet speed and it would have taken tens of attempts just to figure it out.
My solution was to stop updating since then, but with the new Ransomware threat, it is too risky to stay with an old OS version.
