What about adding the information about USB 3 in OP? I am sorry but maybe somebody do not want them to be integraded on the OS. I believe not everybody read the whole topic Thank you.
good point. Indeed, the information should be added in OP. @Enthousiast : will there be any impact on the os if these usb 3 are integrated into win7 iso once it is installed on the machine ?
The usb3 drivers don't "impact" anyhting. The only difference is they enlarge the final iso size by around 5-6MB. In a nutshell, there's not much difference between usb3 integrated and not integrated. If you don't wish to integrate them, just add /nousb. Simple as that.
Simplix pack lists 220 updates for x64 (but Enthousiast's list above shows 188 installed). Since the pack doesn't include the Convenience Rollup KB3125574, you'd want to select the updates from the "WithoutKB3125574" folder in abbodi1406's list (WHDownloader) to get a similar batch. He's got 414 in just the "#General", "#Hotfix" & "#Security" folders. That's not including the other updates from the other categories in WHDownloader in the "WithoutKB3125574" folder, which it looks like the Simplix pack includes a few of. The major difference in the number of updates appears to be that Simplix omits most of the hotfixes. I also see that there are some superseded updates included in the Simplix pack. It may be that the goal of Simplix pack is to only include updates that are shown as needed in Windows Update. WHDownloader's (abbodi1406's) goal is different- it's to include all, non-superseded updates available, so your system is as updated as possible. It doesn't include some of the older, superseded updates that are shown in Windows Update, so its goal is different from Simplix (if that is their goal). Simplix pack looks great for convenience (since it's just one pack) and I'm sure it covers the major/important updates, but abbodi1406's list in WHDownloader is more comprehensive. I'll try to make a list of the differences in the updates included in each after the next Patch Tuesday.
The logs i show are from offline integration. After you install the simplixed windows, only the telemetry updates are offered, and ofcourse later released updates + dotnetfx4xx installers + possible (preview) rollups for dotnet4xx.
Okay, thanks. So the pack's goal is to include only updates offered by Windows Update (minus telemetry updates & .NET 4). That's the major distinction from what's offered through WHDownloader.
Hi all I have a windows AIO 10 in1 iso x86/x64, it have 4 dirs ( \x64\sources boot.wim and install.esd ) and ( \x86\sources boot.wim and install.esd ) files , I try to integrate simplix pack, I put the install.esd” and the updatepack in the same dir Ë:\W7AIO” and use whit this comands “E:\W7AIO\UpdatePack7R2.exe /ie11 /WimFile=E:\W7AIO\install.esd /Index=*” but not work, and recive this error “failed to mount the image, the error code: 87” anybody please help me ?
install.esd is not servicable, reconvert it to install.wim. But it's never good to re-service a homebrew iso.
Is there such a thing as Simplix for XP? I looked at their site but can only find Simplix for XP RU as in russian language. Will that work for EN as well?
17.8.10 Added KB4034664-x86-x64 with disabled telemetry and processor checking (replaces KB2929733-x86-x64 and KB4025341-x86-x64)
@Enthousiast What program do you use to make those checksums? I don't recognize the format. It's not RapidCRC and certainly not HashCheck.
