It is DISM Error with your system. Try cleanup any eventual previous mounts, re-install WAIK and supplement, disable AV, check .Net, registry, C drive free space etc. Google error codes
I recently came across this method of integrating updates but haven't tried it yet, got some questions first - "to update Live Windows 7 SP1 32bit or 64bit System" Are the updates for both bit-versions in the same UpdatePack7Live file? - docdroid.net/6b9z/contents-updatepack-nov2013.docx.html I see updates for .NET Framework v3.*, but nothing about v4. Is there any chance v4 could be included? Would save a lot of updating time since .NET Framework stuff always takes forever to install and it would be great to (for once) not get an "updates available"-message after a clean install. - forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/45005-Simplix-Pack-to-update-Live-Win7-System-Integrate-hotfixes-into-Win7-distribution?p=754513&viewfull=1#post754513 For some reason, there's a space between UpdatePack7Live.exe and the 1st switch and between the other switches in the info about updating a live install, but there are no spaces between UpdatePack7Live.exe and the switches in the info about integrating/slipstreaming. Is that correct? - Does UpdatePack7Live require an untouched 7SP1 disc or can I use newer UpdatePack7Live's on a previously with UpdatePack7Live updated disc? - A while back I tried using RT7Lite to integrate updates. All three times where successful according to that program, but each time I got "Windows could not collect information for [OSImage] since the specified image file [install.wim] does not exist" after trying to start the setup. I don't know if UpdatePack7Live works in, more or less, the same way, but if RT7Lite screws up here, could I expect troubles with UpdatePack7Live?
Thanks, I will try to answer questions: - Yes, it is for both 32 and 64bit. - The updates in the Pack are regular Microsoft ones, as offered on a monthly basis through WU. As far as MS is offering only .Net 3.5 updates, LivePack will remain unchanged. To better understand LivePack just imagine as it is unofficial SP2. - i checked and everything is fine with spaces. For example: UpdatePack7Live.exe(space)/ie11(space)/silent(space)/reboot - Yes, for integration into WIM, UpdatePack7Live require an untouched 7SP1 ISO. For live update on a working Windows it doesn't matter - LivePack is thoroughly tested and is working fine. All possible errors are eventually connected with system DISM errors, and not appropriately configured services in Windows on user's machine.
a Im still a little confuse on how to integrate this to my build. Can someone make a quick video on how to do it please ? Would truing on the silent switch and integrating it with win tool kit work?
Thanks gamazet for December updates , is possible to integrate in install.wim only ie11 without updates? and can i use this command "D:\>UpdatePack7Live.exe /ie11 /wimfile=D:\win7aio\sources\install.wim /index=4 /index=5" in order to integrate ie11 and updates in 2 index from totally 5 simultaneously? Thanks in advance.
Okay Then why is the Windows updater always offering .NET Framework v4? Yeah, that one is fine, but if you scroll down to 2) To integrate updates/hotfixes into Windows7 distirbution (install.wim): you will see this: No spaces used there. Okay Will UpdatePack7Live create a log just in case something goes wrong?
No it not possible to integrate only IE11 without updates. But there are many ways to do that with scripts. Just search here on MDL. For the second question: Cannot use such command like in your example. But you could try yo integrate in one wim index, than use pack again to integrate in another index. Anyhow you will not loose much space if you integrate in all indexes.
.Net Framework 4 is not critical or obligatory update, it is optional (I would personally also like to see .Net 4.5.1 in the Pack) . Yes you are right about spaces. Thanks. A detailed log of the updates is in the file %WinDir%\UpdatePack7.log.
thanks so much gamazet for your great Pack... i would some info about what i got after integrate ur pack with w7 ultimate french i got some missed Update .Net4.5.1 (kb2533552) & kb2858725 i can install it with RunOnce how about kb971033 & kb915597 ? any help there ! View attachment 25918
Thx for this great tool! Tested on X86-64 Win 7 PRO (integration and live install). Both methods work!
thanks so muck ... i found that any news about integrate .Net451 in ur pack or u have no interest to do that
Any way .Net Framework cannot be integrated. It could be added as separate switchless or non-silent installer to run before first logon with setupcomplete.cmd. Or more elegant solution - to be installed with sysprep method. PS Pack isnot mine, as noted in the main post
