I downloaded 17.10.10 several times over the past few days. The last two times the file had consistent checksums so i think the current direct download link is fine. CRC32: BD350115 MD5: 9C5666FC093D212149709B5FDB208F57 SHA-1: 58C673826D86D8A7262DEDD238F2F3D69F4A50DA
It's pointless to install it. It's a PREVIEW of the final package... On top of that, it's the 09 rollup has already been replaced.
I don't see the logic in naming the final product "preview ...". At least not the product released on the official channels. If this is the fact, fine, I don't intend on making a fuss about it, I jost don't see the logic behind it...
Hello all, newbie here. Just installed this update package and now all 3 of my system restore registry settings are gone. The three registry subkeys are HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sr HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SrService HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore I can no longer use system restore. Is this normal? Everything else seems to be ok so far.
Are you sure you didn't install the latest preview rollup? It seems to break SFC, maybe it causes your problem too?
This is the download I used. https: //update7.simplix.info/UpdatePack7R2-17.10.10.exe Is there a way to get the restore back? Ok, well I figured it out. Some how it had been turned off. I found a site to walk me through getting it turned back on for my system drive and all is good. : )
So you're talking about having a dual boot system, logging into 10 and updating 7 at the same time, yeah ?
No, he meant to say it's now possible to use the simplix pack on windows 10 build 16299.15 aka 1709 RS3 to offline update windows 7 images.
@dude905 Simplix update pack can be used two ways: - download the pack on a PC running windows 7 and run it like any other executable - this will update your existing windows 7 with the necessary updates/hotfixes/etc. - download the pack on a PC running anything from windows 7 to the latest windows 10 and use it to integrate updates into a windows 7 iso(a.k.a offline integration, servicing an image, etc.) - this way you will have an updated windows 7 iso ready to be installed on any compatible PC and you will not need to spend time downloading updates after the installation. That screenshot earlier was just proof that the updated version of the 17.10.10 pack can be used under the latest build of windows 10 - 16299.15 or newer. There were issues with using the freshly released simplix update pack under windows 10 16299.15. The recent patch, discussed on the previous page, fixed that problem.
