DDL has a diffent hash. if you add magnet link and use the file you have downloaded, file check will fail and torrent program will download 2-3mb

 

DDL might be compromised, better stick to magnet link...

I downloaded 17.10.10 several times over the past few days. The last two times the file had consistent checksums so i think the current direct download link is fine.

so is that roll-up update safe to install?

 

It's pointless to install it. It's a PREVIEW of the final package... On top of that, it's the 09 rollup has already been replaced.

 

Except new security fixes/component, security rollup = preview rollup

 

I don't see the logic in naming the final product "preview ...". At least not the product released on the official channels.
If this is the fact, fine, I don't intend on making a fuss about it, I jost don't see the logic behind it...

 

Agree, naming optional non-security rollups as preview is a very bad decision

You can update your win7 image offline from within the latest build of Win10...

 

Hello all, newbie here. Just installed this update package and now all 3 of my system restore registry settings are gone.

The three registry subkeys are

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sr
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SrService
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore

I can no longer use system restore. Is this normal? Everything else seems to be ok so far.

Ok, well I figured it out. Some how it had been turned off. I found a site to walk me through getting it turned back on for my system drive and all is good. : )

 

You can update 7 image ( like a back up image ) within 10 ?
