    Not so... The Update Patch once downloaded and placed next to the UpdatePack7R2 and executed will PATCH the UpdatePack7R2 to the NEW version... You will now have the OLD, NEW and Patch files in the same folder... :) I've done this whenever needed and is always hassle free...

    I have a question:

    If my BIOS is patched with the new microcode, is it safe to leave the OS-level protection off?

    ^ I preferred the magnet because it downloads the full pack instead of the 1.5MB patch that needs the 18.4.15 pack.

    @Pandemicc I had no such problem. Magnet downloaded the entire pack, no hiccups and full speed for my ISP(~6MB/s).
