wooooork just use this HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell create new key “EdgeUI“. create new dword 32b "DisableTLcorner" set to 1 create new dword 32b "DisableCharmsHint" set to 1
I know much better registry settings but they are also bound to policies. Than you could disable all corners and charmsbar but hotkeys will work. Somone really should hack this damn license system. btw. I released a script on my blog to edit the boot experience. You can disable/hide the windows logo or the loading circle and so on.
Still it is creative solution and you have probably done many restarts before it was finished... ...I am quite curious about the original script, could you send me it for fun? Promise: I'll not publish it anywhere also I'll not program any "Disable-Metro" app or include it any other way. I still didn't read it yet, but now I am really curious. Hehe... EDIT: Well, the message wasn't so bad as I've many similar in inbox from other users.
aaa sorry not work HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\ImmersiveShell create new key “EdgeUI“. create new dword 32b "DisableTLcorner" set to 1 create new dword 32b "DisableCharmsHint" set to 1 now is back everything
It's in any bootres.dll ... i guess the one on the MSR partition. - But hacking/moding will break the digital signature I guess. Unofficial it's possible... like for every Windows. Nothing official was implemented... only for EFI / UEFI with the BGRT. But now you can hide it and still have an indicator for proper loading.
I wanted to pushlish this now official as a thread but my post count is too low. Can some Mod approve me or increase my count?
Hm okay. I took out the forcing part... I may should implement it again. You haven't restartet immediately, or did you?
Add: I don't think there will be any update which makes this methode undone. They can't change the default behavior... This would take effect also Server. And reinstall would mean they have to create a new certificate.
Hey KNARZ this might sound strange but after installing your bypass the taskbar animations (where you highlight over a square on the taskbar and the little glow follows your mouse) randomly doesn't happen anymore since installing this. I've verified I have taskbar animations enabled in System Settings.
I will check this later but I don't think this has anything to do with the fix. Because I don't do anything in the Registry. Also the 'randomly' thing doen't let me think it has something to do with this. Therefore it's just working or not.
lol. he is right! Annoying that i still can't link images: h*tp://postimage.org/image/67zqpfimh/ I will run a test if this is fixable, but honestly i only run one test. This wouldn't/doesn't bother me at all. - But it's nice someone noticed some nuance like this!
If this important to you, it can be fixed. Than PM me. But this needs a small resource file from Win7. Thus I can't implement it in the current solution.
