Hi davidxxw, I have couple of old HP Desktop dx2100 at work. When I use your tool, system reports "Dump Fails". what could it possibly mean? Thanks,
I see, I have no better way to resolve it, Please use small DPI or save as "bin" file use other HEX edit tool to display. thanks.
When viewing my cert from SLIC Dump Toolkit v2.0 or 2.1beta it shows "HPQOEM_V0.0_Cert.xrm-ms" as the cert. Is that correct? when installing the HP cert (that has a different filename) SLIC DUMP still says my cert has the filename "HPQOEM_V0.0_Cert.xrm-ms" The cert says it installed sucessfully but still doesnt activate. The reason I ask is I cant for the life of me get W7 to activate. SLIC Dump says 0.0 for SLIC Table. "Busykid508" has made about 20 attempts at modding my bios for my Compaq Presario V3020US (Pheonix BIOS) and none of them seem to insert the whole SLIC Table. SLIC DUMP only shows half the SLIC Table. Thanks, MrChris
You'd better to upload your HEX View of slic or the bin file, I 'm not sure your SLIC is ok ,normally ,"V0.0" means your SLIC is bad. so you can't active. but maybe cert is ok, I only use OEMID and version of SLIC to name the cert file.
hmmmm... i don't know what is the point of the information for me but what the hell, activated win 7 anyway and thanks for this great program of yours.
