Lot of guys complaining about "Install Driver Fail! Please Run as Administrator!" error. I too was getting this error in Win 7 when I was running the program from the public folder. Looks like win7 doesn't elevate programs that are run from the public folder, even if you choose "run as admin". So I just dropped it onto the desktop and ran it from there as admin. And it worked! Funny thing is that after this initial run, the program ran fine from public folder too (with elevation of course.) Looks like it needed to install some drivers first from a secure place. So try running it from outside public folder for those having problems.
I keep getting dump error(SLIC table not find) wHY DO I GET THIS AND ON THE BOTTOM ADVANCE, I GET THE PKEY READ OK AND CERT READ OK? THE RED DOT IS ON ALSO. AM I MISSING A STEP?
I keep getting dump error(SLIC table not find) Sorry, But I keep getting dump error (SLIC table not find) on basic but when I go to advance I get on the PKey Read OK! and on the Cert I get a Read OK! as well. But it still shows 30 days, am I missing a step? Thanks
I just wanted to try 2.3F, but immediately upon clicking the executable the PC crashes with a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA bluescreen. (I tried it two times.) Any idea what the problem is? 2.1F works fine...
Dump tool Kit 2.1 still the same as before I still get a dump error (slic table not found)? Why? Am i doing something wrong?
Hi, This means that you have a key and certificate installed in your operating system. The PKey is the OEM:SLP key and the certificate is that file with the extension .XRM-MS <-- I am guessing you must have installed them using command prompt or an application. The part about "SLIC table not find" means there is no SLIC table in your BIOS, so even if you have the key and certificate in your OS it will not be able to activate it. This is the way the activation works: OEMs pre-activate windows on their computers by adding a SLIC table into the BIOS.. to verify that it is a legit OEM computer. If you have a SLIC table in your BIOS then all you have to do is install they key and certificate into Windows. The certificate must match the SLIC but any key will work as long as it is for your edition (e.g any OEM:SLP ultimate key if you are installing ultimate edition). Once that is done then it will become activated. There are two versions of SLIC tables. There is 2.0 for Vista and 2.1 which works for both Vista and Windows 7. Since your BIOS does not have one you need to search these forums for a mod.. or use a loader (a mod = modified BIOS, someone has inserted the SLIC table into it using a tool)
perhaps your bios may not have slic bios 2.1 or this mod wrongly .. Please try with Everest .. Option Motherboard ACPI and see if the slic section is present and version has 2.1
