Slimdown10 – turn Windows 10 22H2 or LTSC 2021 into classic/legacy Windows

LOL! Yes it can be bizarre sometimes. A lot of things are "linked" for no apparent reason. It may be something totally different too, I just can't think of what and the timing was sooooo...coincidental? I imagine I can just totally disable the service and the one scheduled task without any trouble. I don't care about activation.

Thank you for a great script to remove the unwanted stuff.

I am using this script and face the following issues, please excuse me for my ignorance:
1. I'm not able to sign in to outlook after authenticating my account on the sign in window, it just stays on a blank screen once I've authenticated. This account is an o365 account.
2. I still use Internet explorer and use it for RSS feeds.
Even though I click on the link to update rss feeds automatically,
the feeds do not update and I get this:
Your subscribed feeds are not being updated automatically because this setting is turned off.
Not sure if these can be fixed, but would really appeciate it if possible.

so is it possible to leave edge so that it is not removed? or if not, can i install edge later again?

also i want to keep windows-Update setting as default, i configure it usually myself after the installation. Which lines in the script i have to remove to achieve it?

Five or so hours (not sure if happened right after first boot) after installing a slimmed Windows 10 22H2 Education x64 on my desktop, I found all apps I ran were running as admin or high integrity level. Investigating the cause I found this group policy setting set as Disabled, it should be Enabled by default.

Code:

User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode > Disabled

That has something to do with Slimdown10 script?

What do you think about maximal stripping windows 10 even without its GUI but remaining an operating system?

Might be straight forward is it possible to use the regular win 10 calc instead of the Win32Calc?

So this is a new task to simplify the server to a workstation.
That is, except for a relatively small addition to the existing I get a problem that is impossible for me in terms of knowledge and different in terms of the problem statement.
Besides, most likely it is a server with Windows 7 kernel, i.e. Server 2008 R2.

#2 Aside that even servers with GUI are the best workstations (and the cleanest windows available), what is supposed to be the difference in a GUI less windows? Do you want a minimal OS w/o a GUI but still be able to run Crysis?

Sever Core 2008R2 is W7 based, Server Core 2012 is W8 based, Server Core 2012R2 Is W8.1 based....

 

Is enabling windows store something you have to choose when you run slimdown10 to build your ISO, or is there a way to enable it on a system that was installed from a built ISO when slimdown10.cmd was run with default EnableStore value of 0?

I don't mind building another ISO that has it enabled if it comes down to it, but if I don't have to and could just run some commands or something to enable Store that would be cool too. I saw there is a Toggle Windows Update in Admin tools but not sure if that affects Store being enabled or not. New system build so I don't have much invested in this yet.

I built an iso using 1.52 couple weeks ago. It looks like Store is there (trying to install lite version of it said a newer version is already installed) but appears to be disabled. Just curious if there is a way to re-enable it without building another ISO with EnableStore set to 1 and reinstalling with it.
