Hi @wkeller, thabk you for your work! I would have two questions for you: 1) Is it possibile to use your pack with Windows 10 21H2 LTSC? 2) How could I to have the embedded Windows shell? Because the last version of your pack removes it and installs OpenShell. Thank you!!
I tried it with 22H2. I changed the script to include the windows store but I think that was it. Mixed reality does work. This was the best option after using LTSC happily for years. Had to move away from LTSC because WMR does not work with LTSC. Thank you.
Is it possible to install MS Store after setting up Windows with no store? I've installed it using wsreset -i but whenever i try to open it says "Store is blocked". I couldn't find a group policy about it so i guess it's those permissions? EDIT: So i've made a new iso with store instead which works great but the generated iso is 1.5Gb larger than the original, what could cause that? Thanks
I removed your code that stops the process if your script deems the build as unsupported and it works very well, as your script has done this unsupported error on some of my original builds even though they are unaltered.
Its been discussed https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...sic-legacy-windows.86552/page-24#post-1787004 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...sic-legacy-windows.86552/page-24#post-1786940
It is a lot of work to do it correctly. I have simply no incentives for that work. Ps. Use english in the future.
Tested it yesterday, the resulting system is great! Have you thought of uploading the project to something like gitlab?
Just today I have done a custom iso file with Slimdown10. Can confirm what Santiblocks reported, system runs great. Thanks!
Looks like my ESET was slapping it down as BAT_KillAV .. I can see it in the pack beforehand extraction..
Hi @wkeller ; Is there a way to enable recent items in item jump lists? Or there is a code that needs to be disabled im the script? Thanks
You are talking about this ? Code: Reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" /v "NoRecentDocsHistory" /t REG_DWORD /d 0 Reg add "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" /v "NoRecentDocsHistory" /t REG_DWORD /d 0 Reg add "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" /v "ClearRecentDocsOnExit" /t REG_DWORD /d 0 You should run above from Command Prompt. Of course, You should enable recent menu also in OpenShell, but you can do this via its GUI: Righ click on Start Menu -> Settings -> Customize Start Menu -> find Recent submenu and Enable it.
Thanks. I will try and let you know if this will work. EDIT: It did work. What do I have to edit inside the script to have it enabled by default? Thanks
How do you use this tool with the 2021 LTSC IoT? The life-cycle support until 2032 is very enticing. I wouldn't want to move away from the great Windows 7, but unfortunately lack of hardware and software support is forcing me to do it soon. So the W10 LTSC 2021 IoT + Slimdown10 script seems to be the next best option after 7.
