Good morning @siliconbeaver, The SD10v202_75_Lite version is simpler to operate and works well in most options. In the test I did, I used the options below: The other two script options are more comprehensive in terms of initial configuration options, but they also do the same job as Lite. The differences between the two are: SD10v202_75_with_EDGE SD10v202_75_without_EDGE The LOG files can be seen in the Docs folder. The choice is up to you, depending on your needs. Personally, I like the cleaner options, such as SD10v202_75_without_EDGE or Lite. In my preferences, I always remove/disable: Defender, Store, WindowsSearch (I use Openshell), Telemetry and several other tweaks customized to my taste. I hope I helped you with your choice! Good luck!
my download is right en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f.iso can it be activated? why it's so trick? need update to activate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ donmiller said: ↑ en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f.iso Needs to be updated to 19044.2788 to be able to handle KMS activation.
The script will download and integrate all necessary updates, so don't worry about that. Read the README.txt file that is inside the package. It contains instructions for automatic activation.
here is latest warning of its activation “Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021” https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...activation-script.79535/page-317#post-1866920 Use massgrave to activate windows ... I will go this
If I want to retain certain UWP apps is there only one section of the script that requires editing? This is normal. That's why I recommend using the "_PreDownloadAllUpdates_x64.cmd" or x86 script to download the updates BEFORE running the main script. This recommendation is in the README.txt. Run the PreDownloadAllUpdates script as many times as necessary until all the updates are completely downloaded. Only after that should you run the main script (start).
will do, anyway to run Lite version (SD10v202_75_Lite) while to make ISO file than DVD file? my test platform is VirtualBox, prefers iso file. I have read the script, Lite version no this option. versions of EDGE/without EDGE have this option (iso file).
I've never actually used the script to create the ISO. After modifying the install.wim, I add: Then I use NTLite to recreate the ISO from the DVD folder or another location. There are other apps that do this. It works great!
README.txt: 2 – If you want to do automatic activation, download the MAS file and place it inside the “hotfixes\OEM” folder.
I did that step. right copy your guide. in "SD10v202_75\hotfixes\OEM" folder btw, is MAS_AIO right file to use? I could be wrong on this. (MAS_AIO is for Windows 11, SD11)
Hi everyone. I've recently used slim down for a fresh win10 enterprise iot install and every thing all good, except for 1 thing. It takes 5 minutes and 30 seconds for my ethernet to connect upon first booting up. I've noticed this has something to do with Cryptographic Services, it uses about 10% CPU and high power usage for those 5 minutes and 30 seconds and then the internet comes on and the service stops consuming cpu and power. I don't really know what to do, I've tried a different modem and its the same thing. I've tried turning on a bunch of network related services but nothing does the trick. What am I missing? Does anyone have an idea of where I could look to fix this?
Good morning @hoak, Thank you for your encouraging words. I don't intend to ask for anything. I will just keep trying to help, in whatever way I can.
Yes, "MAS" works for almost all editions. You can use it and it works 100%. In the next edition of the package I will change this, to make the script easier to use.
