I had no problems with the previous version. Pressing Win + E opens Explorer. I haven't tried the new version yet.
SunLion, I checked my test log (most had physical computer test). Last two releases have the problem "Win + E " (wouldn't Open Explorer). i.e. SD10_Renewed_1.29 and SD10_Renewed_1.28. on physical computers. Previous release doesn't have this problem. SD10_Renewed_1.26.7z on physical computer. So, there must be some critical changes after SD10_Renewed_1.26. some of them may damage "Win + E" functionality.
Today I tried the new version of the script, ''SD10_Renewed_1.29''. Pressing "Win + E " opens "Explorer" No problems so far.
I've been checking, and it seems to have something to do with some services disabled for Defender. What was your editing option: Slim or Default? If it was Default, did you disable Defender or not?
echo 1 - Create a SLIM image ECHO =========================================================== echo In this option: echo - All Appx Packages will be removed echo - Store is disabled echo - Windows Search is disabled echo - Defender is disabled completely echo - Edge is removed completely echo - WinRE.wim is removed
===================== SD10_Renewed_1.30 ===================== Updated to version 1904x.6216 In this version only ARCH x64 was kept - Updated the hfixes_all.txt file - Updated the Appx files - Fixed Windows Security functionality (Some services disabled by the DisableServices script are essential for Windows Security to function. Therefore, the script has been removed) - Fixed cant open any links in MS Office (Internet Explorer browser cannot be removed from Capabilities) - Fixed "Win + E" for open Explorer (Some services disabled in the script DisableServices prevent the use of this function) - Modified the method for removing AppxPackages. Now ALL Appx are removed - The latest versions of AppxPackages are now integrated Tested with: - 19045.1826.220708-0121.22H2_RELEASE_SVC_REFRESH_CLIENTBUSINESS_VOL_X64FRE_PT-BR.ISO The Docs folder contains test images and log files https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/slimdown10_v2-0-2-continued.88599/
x64 Tested. It's working fine on VM. apps are ready (cal, paint, snipping, , , ). pressing Win + E/ Win + R <-- working I didn't test MS Office.
Win + E is working now. Fantastic, thank you very much! I just got an error when running the script. Was your ISO previously edited? Your image has four pending issues related to netfx3 BEFORE running the code. Therefore, it doesn't work. I don't know if removing the contents of the mount\Windows\CbsTemp folder would solve the problem or if it would cause other errors related to netfx3. In any case, this doesn't invalidate the image edit; only long 8.3 file names aren't removed.
Yes, you can use it without any problems. The only problem is that some long names weren't removed. However, the script added code to prevent the creation of new long names. Anyway, I'll download the ISO in your language and test it out.
@gutentaghallo I tested the image below, and it worked perfectly, without any errors. I downloaded this image: 19045.1826.220707-2303.22h2_release_svc_refresh_clientbusiness_vol_x64fre_de-de_688a29cc2819ea3e640400e038f2bd33b22d1170.esd I used ESD2ISO to convert to: 19045.1826.220708-0135.22H2_RELEASE_SVC_REFRESH_CLIENTBUSINESS_VOL_X64FRE_DE-DE.ISO Updates used in the process: Windows10.0-KB5011048-x64.cab windows10.0-kb5011054_de-DE-x64.msu Windows10.0-KB5056578-x64-ndp481.msu Windows10.0-KB5063709-x64.msu See the attached full log file.
