To keep the applications you want working, several other applications must not be removed. Therefore, this is more complicated than it seems for the purpose of the script, which is to keep the system as lean as possible. But as an alternative, try removing the lines below. Remove lines 1403 through 1439 in the SD10_Renewed_1.30.cmd script. See if it works for you.
===================== SD10_Renewed_1.32 ===================== Updated to version 1904x.6332 In this version only ARCH x64 was kept - Updated the hfixes_all.txt file - Updated the Appx files - Checked Multimedia-RestrictedCodecsExt-Package - no updates - Several small adjustments Tested with: - pt-br_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_f318268e.iso - 19045.1826.220708-0121.22H2_RELEASE_SVC_REFRESH_CLIENTBUSINESS_VOL_X64FRE_PT-BR.ISO The Docs folder contains test images and log files https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/slimdown10_v2-0-2-continued.88599/
@SunLion I ran a test on the SD10 script, selected Modern calc, on testing in a VM the program calc icon is visible, though program fails to start. Is there another selection Ive chosen that might be affecting this? Please see log attached.
The only thing different I noticed in your log is that Modern Calculator wasn't installed in "Update Dependencies for AppxPackages." Could you check if the file Microsoft.WindowsCalculator_2021.2502.2.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.Msixbundle exists in the Hotfixes\APPX folder? Anyway, I'll try to replicate your process here with the ISO you used. PS. where did you download this ISO from?
I just ran a test here with the same image you used and the same settings. No errors occurred. Modern Calculator installed without errors. You didn't respond: Could you check if the file Microsoft.WindowsCalculator_2021.2502.2.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.Msixbundle exists in the Hotfixes\APPX folder?
Used a fresh source with a fresh SD10 1.32 package Modern calc is included in the APPX dir Ran script & tested in a vm calc appears in the prog dir, I did a repair of the app & rebooted the vm though still does not open calc app?
What do you mean by "repair the app"? Did you try just clicking the shortcut to see if it opens? Please post the log file.
Yes opened the shortcut to the calc app though to no avail & would not work! So I right clicked it & chose repair, still no good. Rebooted the VM still not working!
I don't see anything wrong with your log file. You unzipped the package to C:\Users\MC\Desktop\SD10_Renewed_1.32 Please unzip to a short path, for example: C:\SD10_Renewed_1.32 A long path may interfere with script processing... I ran a new test with the same settings you used, and everything works fine, without errors. See the gif showing the calculator working. Here I'm testing with VirtualBox.
I took your advice & ran from the root drive C, made no difference, I use the suggested image source & convert to an iso, all APPX apps are in place? I don't see the calc working in your screenshot above? In the win 11 ver the modern calc works no problems?
I can't understand what's going on with your process. In all the tests here, Modern Calculator works without errors. You should download the attached image and run it on your PC with IrfanView, which plays GIF files well.
Please, I'd like to know if anyone else has this same problem, as nothing like this happens in testing. Please respond.
I am using the previous ("21H2_SD10_Renewed_1.29") script and I am not using the calculator. Sorry but I cannot answer.
