Here's the result. Everything works without errors. See the attached images and the GIF of the Modern Calculator working. The log file is also attached. Note that I used the next version I'm editing (1.33), but processing continues the same as the previous one.
I'm not modifying the script at all, so have no idea why in my build the modern calc shows the program/app icon though refuses to open?
So, I don't know what might be happening to you, because in all the scripts I use I don't have any problems like the ones you describe. My comment now is about your installed system. I'll just tell you how I install it. - After installing the Windows, with all the runtimes and utilities I deem necessary, I install ADK 22621, since my installation is Windows 10. - I also install the Windows PE add-on for Windows ADK 22621. - I keep Windows Update disabled. Another important thing: What antivirus do you use? I use ESET here. But if you use Defender, that could also be the problem. Defender is very intrusive and prevents many activities, even when disabled. Perhaps these precautions will help improve the performance of the entire system. This is just a comment/suggestion for when you format your PC
All the scripts created so far by "SunLion" have been perfect. There were some minor issues that were being fixed. Your problem is not with the script. It seems that you are using Defender when creating the ISO file. Create a new ISO file without Defender and your problem will be solved.
Ok thanks, I use win 10 as a host os, when I run both SunLions & Sainfos win 11 scripts using the same host on win 10 I don't have this issue, noted both modern calc app update in win 10 & 11 are identical. I will try it with defender disabled & post the results.
Edit: Tried both by not selecting defender in the script & disabling defender in the host computer whilst using the script adding the modern calc. The calc icon appears, though program still fails to open or work? Attempting to install just the modern calc using dism, can anyone pin point where I'm making an error with this script below? I mount the wim into dir zmount then use this to inject calc to the wim. Code: dism /Image:C:\zMount\offline /Add-ProvisionedAppxPackage /FolderPath:C:\apps\Microsoft.WindowsCalculator_2021.2502.2.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.Msixbundle /SkipLicense
The script integrates Modern Calculator. The issue you're experiencing could be Defender, but I can't say for sure. Or perhaps you applied some tweak to your system at some point and no longer remember it. Many factors could be interfering. My suggestion is that you format and reinstall Windows from scratch, without Defender. And, whenever you use our script, disable any antivirus software you have installed.
Doesn't explain when I use the same host in running the 24h2 script it integrates the modern calc no problems & it works?
Honestly, I don't know what to say. When I encounter any kind of problem like the one you're experiencing, I don't hesitate to do a clean install and the problem is solved. I'll say it again: Say no to Defender!
I've tested a W10 LTSC ISO built using the latest version (1.32) in a VM and it works great, but had the same issue as @Drake Nguyen where Win+Shift+S (Snip and Sketch) was not working. But i've found some threads on the MS forums and ran the following prompt: DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:Windows.Client.ShellComponents~~~~0.0.1.0 After this, the Win+Shift+S shortcut was working again. It also fixes the Clipboard Win+V aswell. I use Slimdown10 to trim down my ISOs since ~2022 and never encountered this issue before.
One other thing: I've always had a problem where the Game Bar would just not work. When i tried enabling it via the Settings>Games window, it would disable itself off, and interacting with anything else (trying to open the clips folder or changing shortcuts, for instance) simply crashed the entire Settings app. Even after installing the Xbox app or the Game Bar's .appx package and opening it manually (without the shortcut), the record buttons were greyed out and would not record. I've spent days scouring the internet for a fix, but none of it worked. After analyzing the script, i've removed the BcastDVRUserService entry from this group in the line 1757 and rebuilt the ISO thereafter. Right after installing the system, Game Bar does stay enabled and its Win+G shortcut works without issues. In short, disabling the BcastDVRUserService completely breaks the Game Bar.
Thanks for the replys, I highly doubt Defender is causing my issue!! Their is certainly some other file dependency or registering issue in "Win10" only causing this issue! As I mentioned it does "not" occur on a win 11 build!
Thank you for your participation. This helps anyone who wants to play games. But it's worth remembering that the script was designed to streamline the system as much as possible, ensuring clean and faster performance.
I have been running SD10 on my physical computers and have tested nearly every release by SunLion. SD10 release family by SunLion is perfect. and it's main OS on my all computers (when Windows 7 is dying off while Windows 11 buggy). In contrast, SD11 sounds buggy. Mal-functionality, Explorer freezing-up , , , my SD10 computers are for python and macro. I haven't got any SD10 OS issue on my tasks. hence I love SD10 much.
