@SunLion Yes please see txt file attached, I use this in my win 10 unattended, can be edited with your own info.
Hi @ashish1989 and @Mavericks Choice To test on a real machine, I created a new partition on my SSD and followed the steps below: 1 - I installed a personal version on this partition first and confirmed the installation of all the drivers. 2 - I created a new image with the SD10_Renewed_1.36_NoReduce2.cmd script (attached) and obtained the modified files in the SD10_Renewed_1.36\DVD folder. 3 - I opened the Windows Personal version I installed previously and, in Explorer, navigated to the SD10_Renewed_1.36\DVD\Sources folder to start the installation of the newly created package. IMPORTANT! I started the installation using setup.exe, which is located in the Sources folder. The installation started, and on the first screen, I was asked if I wanted to leave the installer online to download and install any necessary updates, etc. I answered NO and continued with the installation. I answered the questions, and the installation completed successfully. Please test it out. NOTE: Almost all code to disable services, tasks, and trackers/loggers has been disabled. See the options I used in the log file. Good luck!
I tested again, this time with the first version of NoReduce, and everything installed without errors. I recommend using the attached SD10_Renewed_1.36_NoReduce.7z script, as it maintains most of the service, task, and tracker/logger deactivations. This option should work fine. Installation should always be done via setup.exe, which is located in the Sources folder. Best regards
No, the problem is still the same, this time I unchecked check for updates, drivers, etc option but still the windows can't be updated. I think the problem is I am using an older version of slimdown.
Please use this latest version, 1.36, as I ran four tests here yesterday and there were no installation errors. Report your results! Important: Clean the registry with your favorite app, clear everything from the temporary folders, run the _UnmountCleanUp.cmd script, and don't forget to disable your antivirus before running the main script.
When asked "What to keep", what do you choose? Keep files and apps is most likely to fail, if you choose Keep only personal files it should work but you will lose your settings and installed programs.
Well for one thing, changing from one SKU to another will allow some features to be removed that you otherwise could not. As well some features you may not want there in the first place that are difficult to remove won't be there from get-go...
