@hoak thank for the very well detailed explanation. am running an old 2nd gen cpu. and removing all that useless services does make a difference. this is mine running stock windows 11 os. with lots of tweaks
Yes. Yes, to get lower than that you'll probably also have to disable some Processes you may want and use like the 'Start Menu Experience Host' and other 'Experiences' I don't personally like or use found in "C:\Windows\SystemApps" -- but do offer cosmetic UI features some people do... I would offer however: SystemApps "Experiences" like the s**tty 11 Start Menu "Experience" (that used to be far more efficiently coded into Explorer.exe) uses far more of virtually every Windows resource than Open Shell Start Menu which has more features, and OSSM has none of the deal breaking bugs or spyware "Experiences" the s**tty 11 Start Menu has. So personally I don't see giving up most of the new Windows 11 "Experiences" as having much of a consequence (for me). If you have a hard time finding decent documentation on a particular Service or Process (it can be a challenge) an AI search with tools like Google Gemini can help a lot in determining what these actually do, and if there are any dependencies you may need from a particular Process or Service. Google Gemini even vibe codes pretty well in Batch, Power Shell, and Reg mod script if you know what you want. With LTSC SKUs of Windows 11 I think 50-60 is going to be the practical limit for most people -- might be able to get something a little better out of Server 2025 if you have to have Windows 11 GUI with a minimum performance hit -- which will be my next test.
I don't have all that knowledge yet. I'm still learning a little more... I understand that this type of modification should be done by each user, according to their habits. I don't see how to add these modifications in a generalized way. Good luck to everyone!

I encountered the same error as you in this test. I don't know the reason yet. In my language, no error occurs. I'll research more and maybe ask @abbodi1406 for help. Have other users also observed the same error? Please reply!
I'm using the script with a few changes so I can't help in this case. I got the same error too. Processing 1 of 1 - Staging Windows10.0-KB5078885-x64_inout Error: 14081 The referenced assembly could not be found. The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\DismLCUs.log
Good evening everyone. I've been editing the script and testing the de-DE version. Finally, I managed to get everything working without errors. Download the new version and test it.
