So, the moving is complete, we are in the Windows 11 forum now. All that's left is your first post, you should simply be able to edit it and put the Windows 11 script decription info in.
@SunLion I’m not questioning the effort, but from a technical perspective I’m concerned about the overall quality of the implementation. There are too many duplicate files, and the folder structure is cluttered and lacks a clear architectural rationale. Even though the script runs, the solution doesn’t feel professional or maintainable. The excessive use of EXE, VBS, and similar helper files increases complexity unnecessarily. A more minimalist, consolidated script structure would be far cleaner. Additionally, the internal calls between scripts are inconsistent, overly complex, and poorly organized, which makes debugging and future maintenance difficult.
I'm sorry, but I don't see it that way. The script locates all items and folders safely and is easy to understand even for non-experts. You suggested a change, but honestly, I don't have all the knowledge to adjust that in PowerShell. I prefer to use the DOS system and, in some cases, a PowerShell script.
SunLion This script works flawlessly for people who aren't very familiar with commands and the like. Therefore, I think it's best to continue as is. Regards
Looks like spotlight or perhaps just a regular picture, its blurry because a user is selected. I bet you had option to create user during OOBE and admin account is suppose to be default(?) Did you modify it somehow?
It's as @tcntad said above. Did you use "2xH2_Creator_15.0\2xH2_Creator_15.0\PersonalTweaks\Autounattend.xml" in your process? This Autounattend.xml performs the installation and at the end asks for the name of the person who will use the PC and the password, which you can leave blank. This user will be created with administrator rights. I don't know how you did it in this process... You must have created another account afterwards?
SunLion it might be good to put a link in the OT post here and the Slimdown10_v2.0.2 (continued) OT post to the Archived Wojciech Keller Slimdown10 Thread as there's a lot of useful information there by you and many others that will get harder and harder to find as it scrolls off the first 500 pages of MDL into oblivion...
+1 @Carlos Detweiller If I may, I would like to say the following since things arose from a question of mine. So, I fully agree for what it's worth with your decision here since it was quite predictable that the very first days some mix-ups would occur due to the change of both thread location and name, and I absolutely don't question your decision, especially since you are a forum manager and you know what is good for the smooth running of the forum itself. Furthermore, it's objectively still too early for all the most regular members of that thread to have noticed the change. So, I repeat you've made a wise decision, in my view. Even wiser if, one day - once all the members in that thread have gotten used to posting in the other one - you reconsider your choice, and maybe reopen the thread thinking also that some members familiar with the original Slimdown10 could anyway provide some help to those using the original script. Just sayin'... Edit some words for the sake of accuracy.
Apologies in advance if the following question is too non specific or broad in scope. How similar is this Slimdown11 script to the script created by freddie-o in this thread: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...lemetry-repository.63874/page-66#post-1686849 Or a brief overview of the differences? Thanks.
no i didnt modify it. yes i asked me to create a user. not the regular setup obee this time it was different. you are right the automated.xml was used. never used this before it skipped the toggle on or off for location ect ect. go it.
Another question, which may be stupid: How do I uninstall the old version and then install the new version of WhatsAppUpdater? Or does it not matter because the program installs a new version over the old version anyway with every new installation?
