If you need some code from the runonceex script to run during setupcomplete stage then remove the code from runonceex and put it in setupcomplete. runonceex purpose is to run after first logon, and it is registered via setupcomplete. So basically, calling runonceex during setupcomplete will make it run one time during deployment and then again after first logon. My honest take on Windows 11, in its current stage, unless you have hardware that can benefit from Windows 11 (Intel hybrid cpu, AMD Zen 5 cpu, HDR monitor), there is nothing to gain from upgrading, Win 11 does nothing better, and with their new K2 initiative, their idea of "fixing" problems just means to "cover up" and put a bandage on it, this will result in more issues down the road.
Yes correct, I think Win 11 on my hardware is a touch faster than Win 10. In regular form win 11 has way too much unnecessary eye candy hence slim down is required.
I totaly agree with you, i manage to slimdown the 26100.7628 IOT LTSC to 1.47 gb iso completely enough for my day to day usage , all updates after this , made the dark theme quite ugly and they add so many useless ai making it hard to work on it . I did also 26100.8238 few days ago also about 1.43 gb without any Cross Device , Copilot , Edge and other crap ... But i am still going back to 19044.7058 LTSC for better stability and high quality HDR movie reencoding... Only the time will tell if Win 11 will be anytime good to use it ...
Well, it really depends on what the user needs from the installed system. Personally, I’m using version 26200.8328. I may not be a huge expert on this, but personally, I’m more than satisfied with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 26200.8328 after processing the image with my script - I’m really looking forward to version 26H2.
I too hope that Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC will never have any forced feature upgrades -- unfortunately Microsoft tends to walk the line of informal fallacy, and technically it really isn't a lie to say their 'Experiences' are not a 'Features'... I'm also very glad sainfo and balanadi are here and still working hard to help take out the trash! Spoiler: AND WARNING TO THE UNINITIATED Just so people reading my posts in this thread don't misunderstand my intentions; I'm not a Luddite, not anti Windows 11 per se, and not trying to sell anyone on Windows 10 or Linux vs Windows 11 -- I am trying to raise awareness regarding important points about the state of Windows and what Microsoft is doing, because this is a popular thread where a lot of people new to cleaning up Windows may take the talent of the people posting here for granted. The uninitiated should know and understand the limitations, and consequences Microsoft is confronting them with, and what we can (and can't) do about it. To wit: Microsoft has a Monopoly on what a lot of people need, Microsoft cheats, steals, lies and lies a lot. Even where and when it's not lying Microsoft has admitted to a vested interest in exploiting you and your data materially and financially, and making you the principal liability for Microsoft's actions and malfeasance. While Microsoft has made some progress with Windows 11 as an OS, that progress is very superficial and overwhelmed in terms of opportunity cost as far performance, stability, security, and privacy because Microsoft is aggressively pursuing goals that have nothing to do with producing an Operating System. This isn't hyperbola; Microsoft's agentic AI, telemetry, and various industrial spyware components & sub-systems, browser integration, and 'Experiences ™' (i.e. features without benefits) -- consume more system resources, i/o, and bandwidth than the Operating System itself, and in many cases than the applications a User may choose to run. That Windows native applications and games, can run faster on Linux than Windows 11 under emulation and through compatibility layers should make it clear just how egregiously bad this is. It's really bad... So far Microsoft has kept it's mitts off Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and there have been no forced 'Feature' or 'Experience' upgrades -- and it offers a nice option for those that feel a need for some of Windows 11's base features for a starting point but the uninitiated should be aware is not objectively better Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC...
========================= 2xH2_Creator_16.3 ========================= Updated to 26x00.8457 - Update APPX files - Added code for extracting LCU files for reintegration after enabling NetFx3 - PowerRun was chosen to elevate privileges using the 2xH2_Creator_16.2_Start.cmd script - All NSudo and other elevate codes have been removed from the main script - It is expected to work well on Windows 11 Host as well - Other minor adjustments NOTE: 2xH2_Creator_16.0/16.1/16.2 only test https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...to-classic-legacy-windows.90039/#post-1872013
Unfortunately the last update Windows10.0-KB5087544-x64 for Windows 10 does not work anymore with already tweaked image like before . Same it was happening with Windows 10.17763 when they rebuild the update to 3 update packages ... so it looks we need to find an work around. Looks like if you remove Windows Defender or any other feature before update , it will give you the error 0x800f081f the source files could not be found. Very well Microsoft .. you did it again , you do not really care about your end users , you just try to implement all the crap for you to have more Copilot or Microslop staff ... Very dissapointed ......

Interesting! My current "old" PC has Windows 10 21h2 N LTSC and I got a new PC so I was looking/asking for activations/debloats/etc for Windows 11, as I assume drivers will only be available for w11 and also because of wsl2 support (although it's working fine on my w10), but reading your post, I wonder if I should give a try at w10 instead (on my new PC). If so, is w10 21h2 still the latest less bloated version? or is there a "newer" version that is still debloated?
Folks, how should we include in main script for removal of the modern notepad? I do this post install at present Code: winget uninstall --id=9MSMLRH6LZF3
I believe Notepad3 is a great option for Windows 11. It automatically replaces the original Notepad without any problems and works very well. There's no need to remove the modern Notepad.
