    @sainfo
    "He must be a fool in some way, because after I suggested he consider my version of his script’s layout, he simply banned me for life from his site, without any explanation at all. As far as I’m concerned, that was a very unwise decision on his part! But he probably knows best—geniuses are like that; they do things their own way..."

    Yes he banned himself from MDL too, he certainly was very over the top indeed!!

    Edit: Re the script I'm in the midst of running it now.
    I had a look at script detail & like the fact it references the appropriate text files for app & capabilitiy removals. This is a very good feature indeed.

    Script ran & has produced a very smallish 2.3gb wim wow!! In my case though will not install fully due to hardware issues.

    That’s quite possible, because the script itself is “specific,” and I’m not at all sure it will work for everyone. I think it should be viewed only as a concept, and anything in it that prevents a normal OS installation for any user should be edited out. I’m opposed to scripts like this, which is why I haven’t offered it to anyone—I’ve only used it for personal purposes. Personally, I haven’t had any problems with it on my own hardware. But the audience asked for it, so I’m sharing my ideas with you—ideas that, of course, require further consideration and testing. I’m by no means a programmer, and it’s quite difficult for me to successfully analyze the processes that this script carries out, but I’m trying to understand it all and create something useful and beneficial for everyone.

    I’ll tell you more: before I joined this community, I hadn’t even thought about scripts or worked with them at all. I stumbled upon this topic completely by accident, and it really piqued my interest. I learned from the work of SunLion, sergey130270, and other users of this site. At this point, I’ve certainly gained some understanding of this field and learned a few things. I’m continuing to learn from all of you, because I’ve found the whole thing to be very interesting.

    Actually, programming—and scripting in particular—has turned out to be a very interesting subject. And if I were younger—say, by 30 or 40 years—I would definitely go study it. But since things are the way they are, I’m trying to teach myself, and of course, I can’t do it without your help.

    @sainfo I appreciate all input & agree it won't be for everyone. I'm neither a scripter nor programmer, just an avid fan of tailoring my OS to suit my needs without all the unnecessary eye candy etc.
    Thanks again, I will certainly tinker with this script.

    Thank you for your kind words!
    Well, the script itself is fine and works just fine. The problem lies elsewhere: we need to analyze what the script’s author is deleting from the .txt files. I’m not an expert on Windows components, so I can’t conduct a full analysis of what this script is deleting. But as far as I can tell, it’s deleting something unnecessary—something that shouldn’t be deleted. That’s why the resulting image works on some PC configurations but not on others. If, by any chance, this script piques the interest of someone who knows their way around this topic, perhaps they can offer some guidance or help us correct these .txt files.

    yes sir, I tried simple workflow
    work folder-> C:\ulti11
    in it there are files: launcher.bat, creator.ps1, oscdimg.exe, original windows iso file
    ps1 will automatic make dir C:\log and C:\result and related work folders
    launcher is to make sure all run in admin, ps1 is executing heavy duty. I intentionally don't use autoattend.xml
    as usual will consume some times to generate custom iso. success burn to Rufus, my FD 8 GB, uncheck bypassnro and tpm because ps1 cover those.
    I make new partition at least 50 GB to play field, in case something wrong don't effect my active windows
    after 23 trials, I have made it run well. I understand bloatware, services, AI, telenerty removal different taste for everybody. I tried to keep (Notepad, Snipping, Defender, Winupdate). after log in we can use (raphire win11debloat or chris titus github) to double clean as your preference.
    Im not codes expert, learning from this forum many mentor, compile helper with 5.6 sol high.
    please be excused my English, hope it helps for whom interested.

    yes sir, you're correct. just info I got oscdimg.exe file when downloading windows 11 original using uudump process. then it manually copy-paste to C:\ulti11 tobe using in my custom project.
    at your end, have you tried sir?
    anyway this is my personal play and learn project, no pressure to everybody to try it.

    have a nice day, please be excused my English

    Wow, what a student—he put together such a serious script. We could use more “students” like that.

    And yes, thank you so much for your explanations about the script; now I understand everything—what it does and how to use it. The only thing is, PowerShell isn’t my strong suit, but I’ll still try to figure it out. How can I add features to this script, such as removing Defender and generally cleaning the image of all the “junk” that Microsoft has so diligently crammed into it?

    While were talking about powershell here is my other go to aside SunLions script see attached.
    This is not my script though. Just rename with the .ps1 file extension.

    many thanks, sir.
    here come part of Raphire and Chris Titus github project in handy. I also double clean what my custom ISO still contained. it is so much risky and tricky to remove them all from offline stage using DISM (OOBE crush in half way, installation setup stucked or failed ...and so on. it is for example)...so I remove the rest bloatware/services/AI/capability/telemetry in "go-live" or online stage- that is using their github utility.

    cheers from Bekasi Indonesia.

    my 5.6 sol high has checked and noted the script is far aggressive than my ps1. then it is up to each individual to choose their "goal" of custom windows. any way, thank you for sharing, sir

    =========================
    2xH2_Creator_17.1_4
    =========================
    Update to 26x00.8875

    In this script, operations take place in three phases:

    Phase 1 - install.wim is mounted and components from version 1742 are removed
    install.wim is unmounted

    Phase 2 - W10UI is executed to integrate the latest updates
    install.wim is updated
    boot.wim is updated

    Phase 3 - install.wim is mounted again to apply the remaining script code
    install.wim is unmounted
    the script finishes

    - Modified the code sequence so that W10UI runs separately
    - Incorporated @shhnedo's tip to update boot.wim using W10UI
    - Removed the "Resetting WinSxS from Boot.wim 2" code

    - New questions have been added:

    1 - Do you intend to use the ISO image with Ventoy?
    If you intend to use the ISO image with Ventoy:
    - The CmdLine config entry will not be applied
    - The size of the sources folder will not be reduced
    - WinRE.wim will not be removed

    2 - Do you want Remove WebView2 Runtime Platform?

    3 - Do you want Remove Microsoft Edge Browser Interface?

    4 - Do you want to Pin the shortcuts to the Taskbar?

    5 - Select the M.A.S. package to be included as the DEFAULT

    - Added new code to identify ISO images for selection (thanks to @mustafa gotr)
    - Folder layout modified
    - Various minor modifications implemented
