Slow USB 3.0 Write speeds

    oh you're right, since I found 0 bad sectors it doesn't make sense to do tht low level format probably just format it in ExFAT / quick right?

    I need to retract my comments. I have always had slow usb3 speed in windows 8 and it never bothered me that much since I copy little to usb and hotswap my backup drives. This post spurred me to purchase something that has been verified to work on windows 8, a scandisk usb 3 extreme and here is the results.

    2 gig files is smoken.

    Appears a lot of products slap usb 3 on their devices and they are just plain crap. Well this one looks like one to put a windows install on and see what happens.
