Does the version of SM BIOS have any affect on the success of uprading a BIOS to SLIC 2.1/2.0? "In computing, the System Management BIOS (SMBIOS) specification defines data structures (and access methods) in a BIOS which allows a user or application to store and retrieve information specifically about the computer in question." eg Asus currently have mobos with SM BIOS from 2.3 to 2.5 with latest version 2.6.1 or is success in upgrading more dependant on mobo manufacturer?
