I've got a supermicro x5dpl-igm. Phoenix bios. I'm trying to get Windows Home Server (not 2011 version) to auto-activate since it is an OEM only product and no longer available. I've downloaded Phoenix mod tool 1.42, my bios, and FixedBit's WHS OEM DVD Creation Kit. After reading several posts, things are about as clear as mud. "load your slic", "winhex rsdt string", "everest", etc. This machine currently has no OS on it, so there is no way to run Everest. I'm doing this on another pc. I would really appreciate help with two things: 1. modding my bios (I see there were requests and attempts here, but they apparently failed) 2. understanding something in FixedBit's tool - in the readme, it says to modify the build.cmd file with a slp 1.0 string. however, it does not say what or where to modify. (attached here) I should mention that I am attempting to do this with a version of WHS that can be used as a trial, and is not a final OEM version, that I can tell. I don't know if that will make a difference or not with FixedBit's tool. It does ask for a key during install, and can be installed w/o a key for activation later.
