Hi as the title states I'm so confused with Windows 10 download options. With Windows 7 I also got the MSDN enterprise ISO and used Cody's MS Toolkit to activate it using a local KMS server. This was wonderfully simple and didn't involve any hacks just stock Windows from MS. I can't say the situation seems to be the same with Windows 10. There are so many different versions I don't know which one to download or how to activate it. Please help me navigate the Windows 10 minefield. Happy holidays!
Look for en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_74865958.iso. (LTSC 2019) then use KMS_VL_ALL to activate.
There are just 2 different iso's, the Consumer (OEMRET) and the Business (VOLUME) ISO's, the content can be found at the OP of the windows release thread, 1809 (17763.1 / 17763.107 / 17763.194) is the current sticky one. And Enterprise 2019 LTSC is available (17763.1 and 17763.107). Content of the most current 1809 refresh iso: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-17763-1-107-pc-r.77945/page-219#post-1491770
That's the wrong ISO. The correct one is named en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_be3c8ffb.iso

Ok I had a look at your link and I found this: ``` 7153e3071366017a24c1fda22c0d1e486dbb0401 *en_windows_10_business_editions_version_1809_updated_dec_2018_x64_dvd_f03937a3.iso ``` Does that mean that that ISO ^^ is what I'd download from MS if I had Volume license access? When I run SVF2ISO I get the following and the ISO name and has are different: ``` 10:36:18 CHECKING MVS PREREQUISITES 10:36:18 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 10:36:18 Language: en-us 10:36:18 ISO Name: SW_DVD9_Win_Pro_Ent_Edu_N_10_1809_64-bit_English_MLF_X21-96501 10:36:18 ISO Hash: 6208b319de3aaf0d8ec5b8d0f710e2744f89d0b4 10:36:18 EVAL Name: 17763.107.101029-1455.rs5_release_svc_refresh_CLIENTENTERPRISEEVAL_OEMRET_x64FRE_en-us 10:36:18 EVAL Hash: 164f022a22d2305e6fbd82f6e35d530b6bbadca8 10:36:18 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ```
The SVF2ISO tool is not yet updated to offer the 1809 Dec. Refresh iso's. Thank you! When you say "refresh" vs "baseline" is it only the latter that is officially provided by MS?
All iso's are still available at MVS iso servers but no info on MVS website for the old baseline 17763.1 anymore.
because the "old" 17763.1 baseline turned out to be buggy (hence all the problems came up when v1809 was first released in early Oct. 2018) and MS removed references to them and released a "refreshed" one to fix the problems
I recommended the.1 release since I figured the user was going to use Windows Update to update to the latest CU anyways.
For clean installs, yes. For upgrades, not so much recommended. The .1 release had the bug that could delete personal files. Personally, I'm using 178763.17 ISOs (self-made), it has this error fixed.
If I'm correct: Business - VL OEM - non-VL They both include all flavours of Windows 10 (Home, Pro, Student, N, etc.) Every flavour is available in both x86 as well as x64 architecture. Enterprise LTSC - VL It is basically Pro but all bloatware UWP programs removed. It is only x64. VL stands for Volume Licencing, which you can activate using any KMS tools. If you need UWP applications, then use Business edition - Windows 10 Pro. If you don't need telemetry services and bloatware/UWP apps that Windows 10 comes loaded with then use Enterprise LTSC. They both are VL and easy to activate. I'm pretty sure you got confused between Business and Enterprise version. So I've tried to provide the difference in a concise way as possible.
Spoiler: Editions difference between Windows 10 Business and consumer iso. Consumer 17763.107 Core CoreN CoreSingleLanguage Education EducationN Professional ProfessionalN ProfessionalEducation ProfessionalEducationN ProfessionalWorkstation ProfessionalWorkstationN Business 17763.107 Education EducationN Enterprise EnterpriseN Professional ProfessionalN ProfessionalEducation ProfessionalEducationN ProfessionalWorkstation ProfessionalWorkstationN ServerRdsh Its basically Enterprise, not Pro. and it comes in both x64 x86 Business iso's have GVLK inserted and consumer iso have the Retail Product key inserted. KMS can activate any windows 10 edition, (VL, Retail, it doesn't matter) You can convert your Pro to enterprise Vl by just inserting GVLK, you don't necessarily need Business iso. If anyone is pirating then it's better to use Enterprise instead of pro. Difference between Enterprise and Enterprise LTSC is that LTSC provides long term service and don't have any feature upgrade and lacks UWP apps, thats all , afaik there is no difference in telemetry.
Ah I see. If KMS can activate any version of Windows, why should a home user actually worry about getting a gVLK variant? As far as I can infer, gVLK variants are beneficial in an organisation which is trying to pirate 100s of Windows installation and activate them at same time using remote KMS?
Although KMS can activate Home edition only for 30 45 Days but it activates other edition for 180 days. If anyone have KMS with renewal task then there is no need to worry. -- KMS activation needs GVLK (Generic Volume License Key), there is no other way around. As I said Converting to VL is only a matter of inserting GVLK.
Correction: Activation of Windows 10 (Retail) SKUs (Home Single Language, Home Country Specific, Home, Home N) is for 45 days. Only Windows 8.0 had 30 days.
looking for LTSC iso. which one is the correct one? en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_be3c8ffb.iso en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_74865958.iso SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_LTSC_2019_64-bit_English_MLF_X21-96425.iso or somehow convert eval to regular? 17763.107.101029-1455.rs5_release_svc_refresh_CLIENT_LTSC_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us.iso
