[SOLVED] Add Microsoft Edge to Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB (LTSC)

    Has anyone found a solution to get the updated Edge package working? I am at the same place as kibkalo. 14 works, but anything other than that package fails.

    Looks like running updated edge on ltsb 2015/2016 is not possible.

    I know this point ))
    But can’t understand why can’t one port an UWP app. There might be some dependencies of course, but is doesn’t seem extremely difficult, comparing to what other things are being done.

    I don't have much knowledge regarding this but making an educated guess.Edge is not just any UWP app & can be considered as somewhat central to win 10 non-ltsb versions functionality.I would expect MS to implement toughest checks in edge to prevent its install on a version in which it was specifically removed.I think it is similar to trying to install newest gfx drivers on ltsb which simply can not be done as wddm version on ltsb is older than the one these latest gfx drivers are based on.MS seems to put a lot of efforts(aka both soft & hard checks) in making sure it is not possible to run latest edge & install latest drivers on ltsb versions not supposed to have them.

    Thanks for the Edge workaround, it installed flawlessly.
    I wonder, do you have installfiles for Windows 10 "Photos" too?

    You can download my Store App support script from the same location, after installed the Store app, you can search and install Microsoft Photos app from it.

    i am trying it now, windows store worked just fine, i am trying MS Edge but not sure yet, i will be updating

    Thanks for your script,However after I run your script and installed Microsoft Edge, It runs and it is turned off immediately. Could you kindly help me? My window version 1607 (OS Build 14393.2363)

    Have you checked for Windows Update after installed Edge?

    adding ms edge to ltsb is pretty pointless as new CUs (cumulative updates coming in late 2018 & beyond) may no longer include updates to MS Edge

    Well, with latest cumulative update installed the script didn't worked for me anymore

    I think we should change to use LTSC 2019, as it will come with Edge installed.

    Edge doesn't come in the latest LTSC.

    If anyone has the Edge browser installation for 1809 would be greatly appreciated.
