Hello nTT, pls, could you help me with that? My parents play those games a lot... I made that pack easy to download in that thread above... @Anybody: Try to solve that WXP multiplayer games for nice donation... ) BTW2ReFS: I checked for registry keys ("ReFS" string) in regedit... ...it is interesting, that in Windows 2012 R2 "MiniNT" key-folder isn't even there, but still ReFS formatting works somehow... )
@moderate: That happens because that registry key is actually a backdoor mechanism (still whoever checked with process monitor should have spotted it earlier since format.com would be trying to access it). The disabling mechanism is still hardcoded in format.com or those 2 libraries. Perhaps it is checking Windows version number if format.com and those 2 libraries are binary identical in the two versions. They just left a backdoor with that reg key. I'll see what I can do regarding the multiplayer games and get back to you.
Can someone help me with setting up reFS? I have copied the files to where they are needed but now I can't get the VBS file to run. Windows 8.1 MCE x64 bit... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
That VBS file will not give you any output. Just open elevated CMD.EXE. Change directory to the one, where is the VBS file and run it by typing its name. After hitting the <Enter> you will see next command prompt only, nothing more.
Now, only this final tuning needs to be done: W8-x: W2012Rx Disks Management - Snap-in module for Microsoft Management Console Code: "C:\Windows\system32\mmc.exe" "C:\Windows\System32\diskmgmt.msc" Will please anybody find the registry entry for adding ReFS menuitem there as it is in W2012 Rx (for both W8-0 and W8-1)? I didn't find anything. :/
