[SOLVED] How to Remove Programs from the "Open With" List ??????

    No Dude, you don't get the point, windows doesnt show the extensions of known files, for you its '.lic' for example, so you rename your file to blah.dat, but its blah.dat.lic... so this IS the solution

    If you want to remove a program name from the open with context menu programs list, follow these steps.
    1.Open REGEDIT.
    2.Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ FileExts
    3.Find the extension of which you want to remove the program.
    4.Expand it.
    5.Click OpenWithProgids
    6.In the strings window delete the string containing the program you want to remove.Delete OpenWithProgids, if you want to clear the whole list.
