I found both of them but I can't click "Associate with torrent files" since it's greyed out (maybe it's because I'm using a RePack μTorrentPro version). Also, does this setting regard magnet links or only torrent files?
Does changing μTorrent's bandwidth allocation priority affect download speed, as well as doing multiple torrent downloads?
if one torrent has priority over the second torrent, the one with priority will get more bandwidth it will affect download speed etc etc etc Anyway ... another thing I suggest you leave uTorrent & Move to a more reliable client since moving to fiber, my uTorrent client couldn't handle s**t my qBitorrect client work very well... for example, I start to download 9 parallel Torrents total size of about 140+ GB !!!! start from 19:00 and ... now is about 21:00 ... almost done all Torrents if uTorrent can handle this... I give you 1 million $ in a bag
It is straight to think about how the download speed works when you put priority. If you put priority on a torrent that is having less seeds, most of the time priority torrent will slow down and others will download at normal speed or with less speed that you set. That will hinder total speed of all torrents. Even when you put multiple torrents download, bandwidth try to share time between each download or thread you can say, network traffic will increase and also inconsistent packets that are to be ignored by torrent will increase. I experienced this slowdown when i used netlimiter with torrents. So I never use bandwidth limiters nor put so many downloads at once with torrents. Better there be a limit on how many seeds to be connected and number of torrents to be downloaded at once and also there is no bandwidth limitation on any.
And if multiple downloads are made and bandwidth allocation isn't set, will the download speed be lower than if making a single download at a time?
the OP still has this problem 3 years later? Open a Windows Sandbox. Try and re-create the problem in there. Do you experience the same problem?
Better to create a new local user to understand if the problem is system-wide or just limited to something messed in the current user profile.
I dont use any spyware LikeWin11, Edgium or Chrome But I tried Server 11, that I had handy in a VM (with nuclearized edge) using vivaldi and waterfox and everything worked as expected. The first time I click on a magnet link a popoup ask if I want to open it with a qbittorrent (and a checkbox to remember the choice). The second time I use it QBittorrent opens directly, no questions asked. It's very likely that the crappy redirections of edge have a role on that.
