once a battery hits 100% charge it will stop charging until the voltage falls below a certain level.... however need to ensure that your laptop does not overheat!
Unless you want to short your battery life Don't charge to 100% ... For long period of time Set it to 80% or 60% using msi app And that it ..
Is not that like asking the same question 10 times the valid answer changes. We discussed extensively the matter, no need to drag it further
Why does MSI Center make the laptop charge until 58%/59% or 61%/62% when I set it to charge it until 60% when the battery is below 50%?
You have already been given so much wisdom that there is nothing left to say and as you can see, looks like you don't want any answers. OK. So let's say one more time - no battery ever wants to be empty or half full. So, if your battery is not charging 100% and it happens regularly, then something is very wrong. Perhaps you should still contact a specialist in the relevant field.
Not about the main subject. I set it to charge until 60% when the battery is below 50% and lately it's only charging until 50 something %.
Seriously what answer can you reasonably expect other than jokes? It's a program written by humans, and each human has it's own idea of ow something should work. The only one that can give you an answer is the coder who wrote that utility
Does is need to be accurate? But .. you can do .. reset battery Via msi app ... And it will work better
Yes, "nitpicking", especially when it's below 50% now. EDIT: I'll remove MSI Center since after installing it and logging into my user account, Windows always states it's installing updates after restarting or turning off the laptop. I'll only install it to install and run the "System Diagnosis" setting to change its "Battery Master" setting for the laptop's battery to charge until 60% when it's below 50% since the setting is reset every time I update the BIOS (and when installing MSI Center for the first time and after installing and running "System Diagnosis"). EDIT 2: I'm not having the previous issue regarding updates so I'll reinstall MSI Center and keep it installed. EDIT 3: It seems every time I update MSI Center, its System Diagnosis' Battery Master setting is also reset (just like when updating the BIOS) so I have to change it again for the laptop's battery to charge until 60% when it's below 50%.
