I thought the GPU was only for playing videogames and accelerating compatible programs/apps. Is it needed for videos (from YouTube and other sites, played by VLC Media Player and other programs, etc.) too, for instance?

My external HDD is always going to sleep (I guess) in an instant when in the previous PC it didn't. Also, I set MSI Center to make the PC only charge until 60% but some times it charges until 58%/59% or 61%/62% and even after removing the partition where MSI Center is installed it still charges until 60% (or close). How is this possible?

That's why I was telling you about the drivers whether or not they are compatible with the motherboard and lately each manufacturer makes their own, not like before, even if they were from the manufacturer, they were offered to you by Windows Update, now it depends on the brands and who has manufactured that blade because It may be NVIDIA and it is the chip but the board has been manufactured by who knows who

So, the origin of the driver determines which tasks are they needed for (in this case the GPU)?

My external HDD always goes to sleep (I suppose) in an instant when on the previous PC it did not do so, this may be due to the configuration of the board that before I remember there is an application in the control panel such as Control Panel\ All the items in Control Panel\Power Options where you could change the state of the disk active or off when not in use but in windows 11 I don't know which one it is in

I already did and it's the same configuration as the other PC.

It all depends on the GPU driver and the usability that the manufacturer has given it, I imagine

The components are not the same and the ability to function from one to the other may be different, there are variations in one goes like a movie and in the other it goes worse, in any case get used to the fact that Windows is being tested and it changes like from water to wine before there was only one version now look at the ones there are and each one is different from the other

In NTlite I don't know but from the BIOS or from the program that you install in NVIDIA graphics card control configuration I have AMD and it installs this from where you can change configuration

If I disable it on the BIOS it's still enabled in Windows 11.

You have not put an NVIDIA program similar to the one I put in the screenshot except that mine is AMD look at the image I put you have to have another faith NVIDIA desktop right mouse button and you have to exit the card configuration program and if not menu all applications NVIDIA

There's no setting in Nvidia Control Panel/Nvidia GeForce Experience to disable fast startup.

It's the same external HDD and the same Windows version in both PCs. What do you mean by components and variations?
