Question: Onto which SSD (manufacturer and model) did you try to get Win11 installed and where is the SSD connected to your mainboard?
I don't know. I bought this (MSI Katana 15 B12VGK) laptop in April and I didn't change any component.
Provided, that any OS is currently installed, you can find out the SSD model by running the Device Manager and expanding the "Disk Drives" section. Which OS was natively installed and which are the HardwareIDs of the on-board Intel RST VMD Controller (listed within the "Storage Controllers" section)?
The SSD model is NVMe Micron_2400_MTFDKBA1T0QFM. No OS was natively installed, Intel RST VMD Controller 467F and Intel RST VMD Managed Controller 09AB.
Some Bios you may overlook that to make sure Type of Storage "Hard-Disk" or "Solid State" I have Intel SAS drive and I had to tell bios that I am using SSD setup on the bios "Soild State" this will corrected detect it on Intel.. However starter installing it should say "Standard SATA AHCI Controller ", that should be ok after you install Intel RST Driver/software and then you can do anything by RAID or non RAID.. some Intel RST version may not work some of newer controller... Some motherboard works Intel RST 14.xx will works just fine..IF your BIOS set RAID instead AHCI.. Please change to AHCI works just fine on BIOS... ATGPUD2003
Except OP already mentioned his laptop make and model and it's a fairly recent machine with a 12th gen intel cpu which puts the vmd controller well within the support list of the driver I pointed to(11th through 13th gen). RST 14.xx is for way older gen hardware, it's not relevant to OP's question.
Sigh... Yes, you can't see it, because your laptop is a commercial mainstream gaming laptop. There won't be any fancy stuff like that in the bios since most gamers don't even know they exist, let alone use them. Integrate the vmd driver into boot.wim and install.wim and that's it. That's all you need to install windows 10 or 11 on any consumer laptop with 11th-13th gen cpu and respective chipset.
Means it's the polar opposite of lets say a workstation laptop. The bios in the Katana has no features in comparison to a workstation laptop, as it's definitely not intended to be tinkered with by the user. It's meant to just work and have some useful extras in the bios such as Flip to Boot, Keyboard Backlight Duration, etc.
