Hello. I recently bought a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-b129wm.

It comes with Windows 8, and after updating, and updating, it doesn't give the option to upgrade to Windows 8.1.

Is there a way to simply download a bloatware free (preferably Win 8.1 Pro VL or Retail), and retain my OEM activation?

Can I also keep my recovery partitions (for warranty purpose) intact if I were to format C: with a fresh copy?

    Thanks for any info.

You could try to clear Store cache in your current win 8, CMD(Admin): WSReset.exe , reboot.
