    Hello.
I have a Canon MF8450 on my network, which used to scan documents and store them on the local server using SMB. It suddenly stopped working, the Canon device can't find the SMB server. I suspect Windows update/autoconfiguration change might be at fault, but I am not sure.
I have tried disabling SMBv2, SMBv3, enabling SMBv1, and the same with v2, but with no success.
The server is running Windows Server 2008 R2.
How could I make SMB work again?

check wether ports 137, 138,139 and 444 are open and verify SMB signing strategy on the server. :)

It seemed to be a DNS issue : changing the server name to servers IP fixed it.
    Thanks for your help anyway!
