When I try to sign in to my Microsoft account, Edge Chromium states: "We can' t sign you in right know Sign in is not supported when running Microsoft Edge as an administrator. Please relaunch Microsoft Edge as a non-administrator and try signing in again.". Maybe this issue is caused by a policy created by a program or by a component removal.
Why is it? I installed an image created by NTLite and installed Edge Chromium after using Winaero Tweaker, if it matters. Also, shouldn't I have this problem in Chrome too?
What does UAC have to do with this? I need these tools. Especially the translation problem and these two ones when I did the exact same thing on a VM and I didn't have them.
please use clean windows 10 (install education or enterprise for full controll with gpo setting ) , use any others tools to modify windows 10 are not the best solution
You know Newton's laws - one of them says, "Every body is as lazy as possible." (which of the three, think yourself?) In other words, problems are good and problems must be - this is the driving force of life. If there are no problems, the person becomes lazy.
Lazy, me, after losing years trying to fix problems? One thing is accusing me of messing with too much components and settings (like I've been accused many times even when I didn't touch them some times), another thing is accusing me of being lazy since it makes even less sense.
Of course not, the joke isn't an accusation. Take it easy. Everyone has problems from time to time and jokes helps hold head up.
Don't remove AccountsControl if you like to use MS account and sync. AAD broker is safe to remove. To sign in Edge - first sign in with your MS account on Windows then install new Edge and you will be sign-in automatically.
I'll see what happens if I don't remove AccountsControl with NTLite this time. I want to use my local user account all the time and I guess if I do that I won't be able to sign in to my Microsoft account in Windows anyway. I only use my Microsoft account in Edge Chromium because I'm forced to do it if I want to sync bookmarks and extensions.
This is just a workaround to sign-in in Edge when you can't do it inside Edge. When you sign-in in Windows you will be signed in Edge too. Then if if you wish switch back to local Windows account - you will remained signed to Edge though.
Like I said, I want to use my local user account all the time and I guess if I do that I won't be able to sign in to my Microsoft account in Windows anyway. So, this time I removed AAD Broker Plugin with NTLite and I'm having this problem again, so it looks like AAD Broker Plugin isn't safe to remove after all and must be kept. EDIT: This time I only removed AccountsControl with NTLite and I'm also having this problem so both AAD Broker Plugin and AccountsControl must be kept. EDIT 2: By the way, if I remove UAC with NTLite, I don't have this problem in Windows 11.
