[Solved] What's the best way to upgrade from windows 8.0 (VL kms) to windows 10?

I wish i had read all the information carefully beforehand. All the installation killed my whole day.
It would be great if you can write an article showing us (noobs) how to do things correctly.

 

Everything has been published from the (pre)release of 10240 on.

 

Too much knowledge over overflowing all over MDL, There needs to be an article something like "Before you upgrade to Win 10 pro read this" with all the lingo explained clearly. I know MDL members are already quite experienced with MS technologies but general folk (like me) are not that tech savvy. You know what I mean....

 

People just need to read before asking

WOW! Didn't know such plug-ins exist for the good. Thanks for pointing me to right direction.

 

Yeah! In the ideal world one would spend time reading things that matter not so much to their existence. But my friend, time is not the luxury I can afford. Unlucky me.
So, for good or bad, I have to just ask (real quick) experienced people like you and others. Yes it is kinda annoying but generous people like you and others will lend a helping hand....
That is the beauty of MDL.

 

Finally activated.
Thanks guys for all the help.
Here is what worked
1. Installed win 8.1 pro
2. Update drivers from DELL
3. Activated via MTK
4. In place upgrade to Windows 10 TH2
5. Upgrad all drivers and then connect to internet

Took like 2 hours this time.
Now laptop is win 10 pro
