I had exactly the same problem as you people with blurry fonts and high DPI on Windows 10. The only solution that worked for me is this link: windows10_dpi_blurry_fix.xpexplorer.com Windows 10 is great, but this blurry fonts were to much for my eyes that i actually spend a lot of time on it to fix it.
Thx a lot rafalek and fra31 ! It was one of the few win10 "features" that would have prolly made me downgrade back to 7.
For the record, no need for autostart/task if you only ever use one display ; once in the registry, just alter the 3 settings (DpiScalingVer, LogPixels, Win8DpiScaling) to identical values under *both* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop *and* HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop From the on, the settings stick after a reboot.
Not working for me..! Still getting Blurry text in Device manager .. Also old installers open up all fuzzy/blurry
I think you do something wrong, just because I have tested this little program on different versions and hardware without ANY issue. And yes I am running it as administrator.
For the record, updating both reg keys does not help. the HKCU gets reset after Logoff, the HKU key retains the update, but HKCU seems to take precedence on my system. I still need to update on every logon
Thanks Rafalek! The thumbnail of the task scheduler was really helpful. The blurry fonts and other interface elements were driving me crazy and this fixed it. Now MS just needs to add a control to the Display settings like in Windows 8.1 and make these settings the default.
Scaling in Windows 10 is indeed weird. I have a 32" 4K monitor. On Windows 7 at 100% scaling text is a bit small but readable, at 200% scaling text is large and nice but some apps can be blurry, when I open device manager the text is not blurry. On Windows 10, 100% scaling is unusable because the text is way too small, at 200% scaling text is large and nice but some apps is blurry, device manager text is blurry too. So Windows 7 has better scaling then Windows 10
Thats strange (c) TS Can you try install 8.1, for example in VM and check if you have issues in 8.1 also or not.
