Couldn't find any. In my tests i was even able to re-install all removed packages i exported prior to the removal. Edge is the only picky one sometimes refusing to work afterwards.
System Restore --- Not just disabled, but removed. Search --- Because I've not used it since Windows 98 Cantona --- Because I'll never use it Microsoft Hyper-V = Because I can live without it Adobe Flash --- Because it's junk and a security risk Those are just a few which come to mind, but I'll check out your app just the same.
Cortana and Search are removed here, no obvious side effects. See no use in removing the rest over disabling it .
System Restore, even when disabled, can be made active by select program installs and updates. M$ does not always respect user setting and I'd just rather speed past them. Flash I'd like completely removed as it's a security concern and I do not use it and am mindful not to install anything that would. Microsoft Hyper-V even when removed via the windows feature has enough junk still left behind on your hard drive to full up a USB drive. It really comes down to house keeping or services which may or may not act on their own
I have an eye on my changes and so far MS didn't revert any of them. With LAN set to metered WU politely offers but does nothing more.
System Restore's setting never changes, but install "X" (random) update, and Microsoft will still try to use the service in silent in the background. When it's not there (when removed), the executed command of whatever app or script which called for it, silently fails on that execution, but still moves on (continues as normal), and continues to successfully complete all other tasks. You really do get a performance boost removing system restore and there are better and faster alternatives to backing up your system.
Why should they do this ? I mean changing update settings to force Win 10 upgrade made sense, a weird one, but hey.
Hi s1ave77 well M$FT still downloading this damn upgrade and it is for 15063.540 (1703) but slow as hell until now 45%
hmm I decided now abort this upgrade and go to gpedit.msc and change "things" inside Windows Updates and after restart and see what happen
