Unfortunately, I have to confirm that neither the MPV 0.35 version from first post nor the alternative build you provided in post #37 is working. MPV is always terminated unexpectedly under Windows XP Professional SP3.
I have XP in a virtual machine, so that is VirtualBox Graphics Adapter. My host Linux machine has Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics. MPC-HC runs fine in the VM.
I have installed Windows XP Professional SP3 on real 32-bit hardware from 2004 with an Nvidia GeForce 6200 AGP graphics card. BTW, I tried both MPV versions in SMPlayer but as reported without success.
Not exactly a drama... MPC-HC is vastly superior in usability, resource used, ease of use. No matter if you are in Win 11 or XP. MPV may have a point on Linux For the record MPV 0.35 by Maroc works on my XP on a machine with a Ati Xpress 1100 GPU (which lacks OpenGL 3 support)
New update Updated WinRar 7.0 with some languages Read the ReadMe.txt file for instructions on how to install Edit: Added LAV-Filters 0.78.0-8
Do these have to be added to MPC-HC (in the subfolder LAVFilters) and installed with `Install.bat`? I haven't installed them before and MPC-HC works fine regardless. Am I missing something?
MPC-HC will only use installed LAV-Filters if it does not find its own LAVFilters subfolder No, do not replace MPC-HC LAVFilters folder with this one. You can copy LAVFilters folder to somthing like "Program Files\Codecs\LAVFilters" and install them from there Then rename MPC-HC LAVFilters folder to LAVFilters.bak or some other backup name Edit: You can make MPC-HC use external LAV-Filters in the Options > External Filters' tab but I find it easier and faster just to rename MPC-HC LAVFilters folder
