I was wondering what WBFLASH actually does... Here are some findings... wbflash.scr is an encrypted parameter file, decrypted data looks like this: Example 1: Code: [BIOSVER] R0174J3 [CMDLINE] WinPhlash /BUT_PROG_OFF R0174J3.WPH [FILES] PhlashNT.sys R0174J3.WPH WinPhlash.exe [CHECK] 2 ?????J3 [END] Example 2: Code: [BIOSVER] R0052N7 [CMDLINE] WINPHLASH.EXE /SPI /BBL /REMOTE2 R0052N7.WPH [FILES] R0052N7.WPH WINPHLASH.EXE PhlashLc.dll PhlashNT.sys Phlash9X.vxd WBFLASH.exe WBFLASH.scr [CHECK] 2 ?????N7 [END] Wbflash requires Sony Shared Library to be installed, which includes the DMI driver. Wbflash uses it to get DMI Info. WPH: Part Table included at the end of Sony WPH files describes the flash chips and has a signature PARTTBL. Platform descriptor is usually "VAIO " or "VAIO1".
How did you decrypt it? I would like to decrypt (and maybe re-encrypt) mine so I can get my BIOS to flash..
